Stevie looked at herself in the mirror, she was now forty-nine years old and once again about to go out on tour; the only thing was that she hadn't seen Lindsey in a few years - neither of them were in the news very much and so they rarely saw each other, she wondered what he was like now; if he still looked the same - Stevie knew that she didn't, well she thought she didn't but everyone said that she was back to a normal weight since the Klonopin.
"God I don't know what to do, on tour again; with him? Jesus, what have I gotten myself in to?" Stevie said to herself as she ran a hand through her hair.
On the other hand, Lindsey was excited, he hadn't been on stage in years and as the time got closer, he grew anxious, wanted to see his band mates and one in particular...Stevie.
Her limo pulled up to the back stage doors of the arena they would be playing in for the MTV reunion special, she could feel her hands growing wet from nerves and her heart started to pound; Stevie's driver opened the door for her and she stepped out. She thanked the driver and walked through the back stage doors as a security guard held them open; when they closed she jumped and closed her eyes as well.
He was tuning one of his guitars as he heard the sounds of heels approaching down the hall, it was either Christine or Stevie; he hoped for Stevie.
She had heard his guitar playing just seconds ago and that made her stop in her tracks and stare at where it was coming from, she bit her bottom lip and didn't know if she should walk in or what.
Lindsey placed his guitar down and stood up from the couch he was sitting at, he moved towards the door and as he was about to exit --
WHAM
"Ow, Jesus!" Stevie held her head, Lindsey had walked right in to her; she slammed in to his chest.
At first he wasn't sure who he ran in to but once he heard her voice he knew it was Stevie, "You okay? I'm sorry Stevie, I hope you're okay," he continued to apologize.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she shook her head a bit, "That was unexpected."
"Tell me about it," he chuckled then saw her serious expression, "Sorry."
Stevie walked passed him and to pour herself a glass of water, "So...How long have you been here?"
"About an hour, maybe," he takes a few steps towards her.
She chugs down the water, she's so nervous; just him looking at her did enough to put her body on full alert. He's so beautiful, still; my God that face! His eyes, oh Stevie don't do it; don't fall for him again. "Wow, well you're still the same in that department," she flushes and pours another glass of water. In that department? What the hell, Stevie?
Lindsey chuckles, "Same humor," And smile, and face, and eyes, and lips; Lindsey what is going on in your head?!
Stevie gestures towards his guitars, "So you've been tuning these?" God, right now I wish he'd just tune me.
"Yeah I have, they needed some good tuning; I've been playing them but not as much as I should," Oh baby let me play you, just one more time...
"So are you ready?" she asked.
"For?" Oh God, what do you mean "for?" Lindsey?
"Rehearsal, I mean I hope you're ready 'cause I am," Maybe ready for more than one thing but you know.
"Oh yeah, I'm definitely ready," For you.
She smiles, "Yeah...So how have you been?" I wonder what he's thinking?
He smiles back, "I've been great, you?"
"Good," she nods. This is so awkward.
"Great well anything new?"
"Nope. You?" Well, this isn't getting anywhere.
Lindsey sighed, he kind of had a girlfriend; he couldn't tell her -- Lindsey didn't WANT to tell her, "No."
"Oh..." she looked around the room. We've known each other for over thirty years and we can't even talk, sad.
Will you just say something to her already?! "Are you excited?" Whoa, wrong question.
"Excited?"
"About the show, you know?"
"Oh, yeah I am in ways; I kind of am nervous but you know me," she chuckles.
"Yeah I know you," he nods with a smile.
Stevie places her cup down and sits down on the couch, crossing her legs; she's wearing a long black skirt with a slit up the front, and long sleeved shirt, black as well; Lindsey can't help but stare at her exposed leg.
Lindsey smiles and sits down next to her, it would be better if she didn't see the erection growing in his pants.
She crossed her arms over her chest and bobbed her exposed leg up and down, wanting to see if Lindsey would look; sure enough -- he did, she smiled.
He ran his hands through his hair and tried to look up at her face and not her breasts that were exposing cleavage as she crossed her arms.
"Did you hear anything else about the rest of them? I mean Mick should have been here by now since he's a head of us here," Stevie said.
"No, he didn't tell me when he was coming, just that he was," Lindsey answered.
"Oh," Stevie said and then leaned over to tease him again with her breasts, her right one slightly spilling out of her top as she took off her heels.
Lindsey stared over at the wall.
I can't believe this; he really is checking me out. Oh God, Stevie, you're acting like a damn teenager, she laughed to herself.
"What?" Lindsey asked.
"Nothing," Oh you know you just can't stop lookin'.
This tour is going to be...hell.
