She woke up that morning, eyes wide open and just staring at the closed window; the curtains that gently blew from the air conditioner.
Lindsey was still fast asleep at her side and she couldn't even get the guts to turn and look at him, she knew that he had loved Kristen; she was thinking that maybe it would be better off if they forgot about making a baby of their own and just moved on. Lindsey should be with the woman that is carrying his child after all, right? Right. That's what Stevie was continuously thinking about.
He began to stir next to her and she then sat up, throwing her feet over the side of the bed and then running her hands through her hair; Stevie wanted to be up and in the shower by the time he officially woke up.
As she stood, she began to take off the robe she had worn to bed, what was underneath was nothing but her silk panties; usually she would be naked, not this time though -- she didn't think that he would care anyway, she wasn't "Kristen."
Her back was faced to him but he still was able to see the sides of her breasts as she moved, and as she began to walk towards the bathroom. Lindsey could see more than she wanted him to see.
"Please..." he began as she reached the bathroom door.
Stevie froze, "What...?"
"Why are you running away? Running away from me? We have about another hour and a half before we really need to get up, why?"
She sighed, "Isn't it obvious, Lindsey?"
"No..."
"My God," she hissed as she turned around to face him, covering her breasts with her robe, "Why in the hell are you even here?"
"How can you ask that?" Lindsey sat up in the bed.
"How? How? God, do you have amnesia?"
"No..."
"Then you should know!" she said through her teeth and walked in to the bathroom.
"Wait..." Lindsey said as he jumped out of the bed, grabbing a hold of the door before she could close it, "Didn't you hear a word that I had said last night?"
"What words? The words of pretending to love me?" tears stung her eyes.
"Pretending? You think I'm "pretending" to love you?! Bullsh!t, Stevie!"
She jumped at the sudden raise in his voice.
"There was NEVER a time when I was "pretending" to love you!" Lindsey grabbed on to her shoulders, "Can't you see ANY of it?"
The tears slowly fell down her face as he shook her.
"Talk to me!" his voice raised as his own tears fell.
That's when she broke down, falling in to his arms and holding on to him for dear life; these past few weeks had meant everything to Stevie. They had never connected in this way ever, even how many years they had been together, they never bonded so strongly.
"Stephanie," his voice fell to a gentle seductive tone as he rubbed his face against her's.
"Lindsey, please..." she said in that same kind of tone, eyes closed.
"I know what you're feeling," his hands went to her hips.
"How...?" Stevie questioned breathless.
He reached down to grab her breasts, "These."
She let a gasp release from her throat and her head tilted back as he caressed her soft skin.
"Told you..." Lindsey played with the hardened tips.
