 Tribe name: EarthWings

Tribe status: semi-open (you cannot make one without my permission)

Physical description: EarthWings' most noticeable trait is their massive size, their young dragonets (1-3 years of age) are slightly smaller than full-grown MudWings, and elderly dragons are twice as large as Scarab and Grandeur, many being much larger. (The oldest EarthWing who ever lived was the size of Darkstalker). Their wings are not large enough to support their ridiculous body weight, therefore disabling them from flight. They are also very strong, with very muscular limbs and necks, and tough, thick scales like MudWings.

Another strange trait about EarthWings is that they seem to have flowers, mosses, ferns, and vines growing from their scales, and they do (explained later in Society). EarthWings are similar to crocodiles and MudWings, in the sense that they have nostrils close to the top of their snout so they can breathe while still being in water, and ears that can stand on end so they can listen above water while being submerged. They also have ridges along their spine like crocodiles, ram-shaped horns, very powerful tails that drag on the ground, and large tusk-like teeth on their bottom jaws. They also have pads under their feet, so their bones don't break under the pressure of their own weight.

Their scales additionally become somewhat rocky and rough as they age, especially at the edges of their wings, along their spine, on their elbows, below their tails, on their shoulders, and below their jaws. EarthWing eyes, like many nocturnal animals, reflect light at night, creating the illusion that they glow. Their eyes are also disproportionately larger so they have better vision.

Coloring: EarthWing scales are earthy toned, like browns, greens, grays, and occasionally yellowy colors.

Abilities: EarthWings are very strong, have scales that seem as hard as diamond, have good night vision because they are nocturnal, heightened smell sense and hearing,

Behavior/Society: EarthWings are very gruff and seemingly mean, with almost no sense of humor. Interestingly, though, they don't discriminate against other tribes or those of their own with physical disabilities or problems. Despite them being not discriminatory against you, if you are not of their tribe and are asking for help (ex. you are running from the FBI and need shelter), they might offer help, but won't actually help you (ex. they will hand you over to the FBI after you pay them). Their sense of humor is almost absent as they are very literal and not very bright.

They are exceptional fighters, though, and are trained as such from the age of three to the age of nine. At three, they begin mandatory fighting classes every day for six years. Then, they are assessed to evaluate if they require extra classes or not.

When all dragonets hatch and their scales are still soft, scales along their backs are lifted (by trained professional EarthWing dragonet handlers, of course), and seeds are placed beneath them in a very specific order corresponding to their name. (ex. A dragonet named Rose's plants might be: moss, pink rose, lily, snake plant, or something). The plants draw nutrients from what the dragons eat and their roots make their home in the dragon's scales.

History/Lore: EarthWings are a very old tribe, and are the ancestors of the MudWings. They were the first inhabitants of the swamp and did not take part in the Scorching or any of the wars, even though they could have been very useful in both.
