Chapter 3
The next morning Eden woke up not feeling Chase by her side. She got scared thinking that he left them. That was when he came back in with food, a suit case and Fletcher.
"Sorry Dad and Mom got here this morning and texted to check on Casey. I told them what is going on. Dad knew that this was going to be hard for you so he decided to bring Fletcher. He also knows hospital food isn't the greatest so he stopped and got us breakfast. And he sent a suit case with clothes for us." Chase says.
"That was nice of him." Eden says.
"Yes baby, you need to eat." Chase says.
"I am not hungry." Eden replies.
"Eden, you have two little ones growing inside of you. Please eat." Chase says kissing her head.
"Okay baby." Eden says not wanting to fight.
Fletcher jumped up onto the bed. He laid right down next to Casey nuzzling her. Casey opened her eyes.
"Fletch." Casey says snuggling him right back.
Fletcher licks her face giving her kisses. Casey kisses back. She snuggled him closer falling back to sleep. Fletcher closes his eyes too laying against her head resting on her.
"He is so good with her." Eden says.
"Yes the best big brother." Chase replies.
"Yes he is definitely a good big brother." Eden replies.
"Our first born." Chase says.
"Yup. I remember when you were looking at getting him. I gave you the money I had saved up to help pay for him." Eden says.
"That you did. Best decision we ever made." Chase says.
"Yes." Eden replies.
Chase sits down beside Eden, Casey and Fletcher without waking them. He opens the bag and pulls out the tray for Eden and the one for him.
"Gotta love Denny's." Chase says.
"Yes it is the best." Eden replies.
They both dug in. Eden was actually hungrier then she thought. They finished eating and Chase threw the trash away. That was when the Oncologist walked in.
"Hello, I am Doctor Patel. You must me Casey Elliott's parents." He says.
"Yes I am her dad Chase, and this is her mom and my wife Eden." Chase says.
Eden gave Chase a look but didn't correct him.
"I want to have a meeting with you both to discuss options." He replies.
