Case: The diary of the stolen love

It was a normal summer day. The scorching sun was slowly travelling in the great sky. People were going on their way to work. Animals were taking comfortable space for resting under the buildings or trees to protect themselves from the heatwave.

Two men in their early twenties had just finished their morning workouts. Their features were quite similar along with dark black hairs and brown eyes. There was a minor difference between the two, one was fair skin with red plump lips while the other had a bit darker skin tone. Both stood six feet tall.

They sat down on the old sofa. They heard a knock on their old wooden door, and a woman entered as they opened the door with two wrapped items.

The woman looked older than the two. She had black hair and neither tanned nor pale skin. She was wearing a sweet smile on her face. Her beauty was like a woman of every man's dream. She had big chocolate brown eyes, big dimples standing at the height of five feet five inches.

"So my dear younger twins are awake! Come on, get ready! Then I will give you your birthday gifts." The two went straight to pick up their clothes and after taking a bath separately, they came out.

"Let's start with the younger twin. Here is your gift, Raghav." She passed the fair one, his wrapped gift. He tore the wrapper and a hoodie was wrapped under the wrappers. "You loved it?" Raghav nodded like a kid who got his favourite chocolate.

"Now, it's your turn, Veer." She gave him his gift. He opened the box and found a headphones. Veer looked at the woman and one could literally see stars in his eyes. "Now, get ready, we will have lunch at the restaurant which has recently opened."

The two stared at their elder sister, amazed by her sudden announcement. "What?!" They were about to answer but got interrupted by a sudden knock on the door. "Kriti!" Someone called their elder sister. Kriti got up on her feet to respond to the call.

She opened the door to find the owner of the house. The woman had white hair, wrinkled, tanned skin, she wasn't tall and was in her mid-fifties. She wore a white saree accompanied by an enraged expression. Once the duo saw the lady, they rushed to the door. They both came in front of her and pushed Kriti behind.

"How can we help you?"

"Someone is here to meet you two!" she left without uttering a word, a heavily built man came in front of the two. He was dressed in a three-piece suit. His hair was a mess and his breath was shouting alcohol. He had a shaved face with dark circles around his auburn eyes. His looks were lethal to any woman.

The two got frozen in their spot as if time had stopped working on the two. Their minds flourished with the memories of the past.

"Long time no see. May I come in?" The two came out of the sea of memories and nodded.

The person sat down on the old, dusty sofa with a polite smile hanging on his face. Veer came with a glass of water and gave it to him. He drank it in one go and placed the metal glass on the table. The twins looked at him curiously, Kriti was already inside doing her office work.

He cleared his throat and opened his mouth to say something but got interrupted by an unfortunate phone call. He went to the corner and picked it up. He talked like something was up, he told the person to take a rain check and cut the call.

He slipped his phone in his pocket and sat back to his old position. He sighed and looked at the two who were staring at him without blinking.

He ignored the two and began to speak, "I know, we didn't have a good time together in our school days. I regret all the things I said and did to both of you. I wanted to apologise a long time ago but didn't know where you two were."

The two's jaw muscles tensed up, they clutched their fist and plastered a small smile to cover up the blood boiling faces. "Why are you here, Aniruddha?"

He looked down, choosing his next words very carefully. "I have a case for you two."
