Chapter-3

Raghav had jaw dropped like an anime character. His mind was fuzzy. His phone buzzed and he took it out. He saw an unknown number. He picked it up, he had a gut who it would be and it turned out to be the truth when he heard the voice.

"I did this to inform you about my authority over this city. Remember one wrong step and a doom will fall upon your whole family."

The call cut off before he could say anything in reply. "Who was it?"

"No one!" Raghav went pale, he had already gone deep into his thoughts. He stayed there until Kriti called him out of it. "Let's go home!" he grabbed Kriti's hand and dragged her. She was having a hard time keeping up with Raghav's fast walking speed and kept calling him to slow down which he totally ignored.

They entered their house, and Raghav locked it. "You will go out of these doors either with one of us or you will not." he left to meet Veer before she could protest.

Once he entered the room, he saw Veer standing with a confused face. "What was that about?" he asked. Raghav who was holding a poker face, stumbled and got caught by Veer before he could fall. "Raghu! Raghav! Are you alright?" he received no answer, "damn it!"

He dragged him to the chair he was sitting on. He grabbed his water bottle and helped Raghav in drinking water. "What happened?"

"I was with Kriti, she was distributing sweets to the poor kids because she got a promotion like Aniruddha promised." Raghav took a deep breath which added fuel to the impatient fire in Veer, "continue!"

"I received his call and he gave me a warning and this was a small show of his power. After he cut the call, I saw four kids, two boys and two girls. Kriti gave them the last four sweets, they opened their palm at the exact moment she was about to put it on their hands, because in each one of them, Aniruddha's name was written in hindi. Then I saw three men with revolvers standing at a distance of ten metres, even the kids had a pocket knife.

Also when we were coming back, I saw new men in our locality, they had those dark expressions, their teeths were close to decay as they were completely black, their gums had loosened around the teeth that means they are having a constant use of tobacco or related products. They had needle marks on their elbow veins which leads to the chances that they are drug addicts as well. All of them had a weapon hidden in their clothes or their bikes such as iron rods, sword, revolver, even acid."

Veer lost his own balance and fell on the ground after Raghav finished. "I think we are stuck in a game, Aniruddha wants Pathak's position and his weakness is his daughter and to clear the connection, he needs the proof to get an upper hand if she comes begging in front of him to don't go after her father. Have you triggered the business as well as the beggar network of ours?" Raghav nodded.

"Tell me, how have you explained her looks and everything to them? I don't want any kind of problem. We need to get out of this mess as soon as possible."

"I asked for coconut and cotton in one, that means I am talking about a person. Then I said raw coconut, which means it's a young person. Then I said 'It should have a long black coat' which means long black hair. 'Oh sorry, it was for my wife' which means she is someone's wife, 'she is going to London' which means she is from a rich family to be able to travel abroad.

'The coconut should have a big brown outer shell, small water, plump or thick white material and slightly tanned cotton' which means big black eyes, small nose, plump lips, slightly tanned skin. I ended everything up by saying, 'Do you by chance know where I can find the clothing shop which belongs to Mr. Pathak' which means she is related to Mr. Pathak."

"Good! We are between a gang war now. We have to clear this mess before it turns into poison and kill us. I haven't got any info from her social media. Let's go and hunt down."
