Chapter-4

Veer opened the door wide for Aarohi to enter. She elegantly entered after thanking Veer. She flipped her hair before comfortably sitting on the sofa. "You must have done quite a good makeup for her to recognise you. Well done!" Veer patted Raghav who snorted arrogantly.

The two sat down in front of her. " So tell us how we can assist you? We will try our best to give you a hand." She sweetly smiled. " Well I came to know about you two from the assistance of my dear husband that he is visiting you two." They looked at each other then nodded to her.

"Well I want to know why he was coming here?"

"Sorry but we can't reveal it." Raghav replied, she was taken aback by the polite yet stiff behavior. She cleared her throat and looked at the two, "so you are saying that you will not speak?" The two nodded and she snapped her fingers.

Four heavily built men entered with guns pointing at the twins. "Now, will you two gladly follow me!" The two rose up from their position and followed them silently. The men put jute bags on their face and pushed the two inside a white van.

Veer and Raghav opened their eyes and found their hands tied with rope and two men sitting, drinking alcohol. The two saw Raghav and Veer opening their eyes. After sometime, Aarohi came in with two men following her.

"Well, now will you two talk?"

"First tell us why you are so eagerly waiting for us to open our mouths?" Veer tried to open free as he was slowly fuming with anger while Raghav was silently, calming himself.

"You two even know where you two are? If I shoot you, no one even knows where you two went."

"You think we don't know where we are. V! Kindly give this lady our location." Raghav's smirk caught Aarohi's attention and she averted her gaze to Veer who was holding an evil smile on his face.

"We are in an old building in the outskirts of the eastern part of the city. Am I right?"

"How?"

Raghav cleared his throat to bring her attention to him. "We smelled the rotting smell of meat which is only sold in the eastern part of our small city because of the majority of vegetarians and vegans. So after a small court case, five years ago. And for the old building, you can smell water leaking, the concrete on the floor is quite weak due to which the corridors have extreme amount of small pits and it is covered with tiles but still have concrete on the floor, it was cherry on the top. Rest will be continued by Veer."

"I stumbled upon a few broken tiles which came out due to my impact on the floor and we were able to recognise it was tiles due it's sound. The road to here was broken with deep holes that means you have taken the way which is less crowded because some idiotic person told everyone that this road is haunted and the road has these holes because of a corrupted engineer didn't paid much attention on this road and due to which he has to go through a enquiry. And this building is the infamous haunted school which is on its way because we can smell the scented candles. I think this much will be enough, right Raghu?"

They both heard someone falling on the ground and saw Raghav's hand free with the pistol of the man who had fallen down. He pulled Aarohi and pointed the pistol at her head. "Throw your guns and untie Veer!" Rest of the men threw their guns and one of them came and opened Veer. Raghav dragged Aarohi with Veer following him closely. They came out of the school and spotted a SUV. They went in with Aarohi as hostage and drove off.

Veer was driving with his concentration on the road but a phone ring drew their attention. Raghav saw an unknown number, he picked it up. "I heard you have my daughter, I am sending you a location or your elder sister who is in your home sweet home will be no more."

Raghav had the phone on speaker, the dark voice rang in the ears of everyone. The phone buzzed and Raghav saw the location. "How long is the drive? It's already evening because of someone." Veer glared at Aarohi who was resting on the seat with her hands on the back of her head.

"We will be there in around two hours." Veer pressed his foot on the accelerator pedal.

The two were in the road with their headlights lighting up the road. Farms were on each side of the roads. The moon was hidden under the dark bellied clouds. The windows were open and the cold gust of winds were brushing on their skins. Aarohi had fallen asleep with no care of the world while Veer was controlling his anger by ripping off the expensive seats bit by bit.

"Raghu, how can you be so calm? I am going to shoot her brain out."

"That's why I told you to take anger management lessons. Your vinegar aspect can put us into grave danger."

"Like you are the one to talk!"

"V! Will you stay silent? You can think while being a hot head but I can't if you keep on acting like a cry baby. Tell me, should I stop listening to you, so that I can think."

Veer humphed and sat silently at the corner. "Raghu, tell the distance left."

"Five Kilometres. V, should we call Kriti. I am feeling worried."

"Don't even think about that!" Aarohi tilted her head and looked at the two.

"So the snow white opened her eyes without the prince charming. Wow!" Veer mocked and received a glare from her side.

"Well, your phone calls will be tapped and if they by mistake came to a conclusion that you are trying to call for help then your sister will have a face to face meeting with the god."

Veer pressed the pedal with all his might. "V! No need to sit on the pedal." Raghav looked at the scenery turning into a hazy image due to the sudden acceleration in speed of the SUV.

The SUV made a drift, finally came to a stop. Raghav came out and pulled the fear petrified Aarohi with the pistol pointing at her. Veer joined the two and looked at the group of men in front of them. There was a huge open area with a Banyan tree in the middle. Two men were sitting on the wooden chairs. Their legs were resting on the top of a table. Different kinds of cars were standing silently on the corner.

"Veer, Raghav, I have to say you two have some guts and I respect the men of courage and discipline and most importantly of the words. They are worthy and trustworthy and are quite difficult to find these days. You brought my daughter and gave her a small road trip for which she was craving for. I am giving you one more chance to speak and live."

"We have given our words to Annirudha that we will not say a single word to anyone."

"Annirudha is dead!" Aarohi looked away to hide her tears. Raghav and Veer had wide eyes with their jaws dropped.

"How?"

"We don't know! We found his body." Aarohi's melancholic voice shook them to the core. "Is she really cheating on him? If yes then I have to say her acting is too good!" Raghav mumbled to Veer who nodded in response.

"Now will you tell us, so that we can find out about his motive so that we can find the reason for his death."
