26 Stay With Me.

P.O.V - Luna (mom)

Flashback

It was a normal day in the office. Everyone is in a good mood and everyone's happy. I actually love this job. I've switched jobs 4 times already. And i really hope that this was the last time i did that. I've been working here for 6 months now. I've gotten to know most of the people in the building, some of 'em i don't talk to but with the others i have a good relationship.

I was signing some papers my boss gave to me when i just looked outside my window and saw people running and yelling. Some who were too slow were killed but some got away. I quickly stood up and looked around.  Everyone was looking out the window when suddenly the sirens went off and everyone started to panic. People started to move around the floor and panic chatting. No one really wanted to go out , so everyone just stayed right where they are.

I quickly pick up my phone and dial one of daughters number and it starts to ring.
I first tried my daughter Eira, she didn't pick up, so i tried my other daughter, Caelum and she picked up quickly.
"Where are you right now ?" - I ask her straight away.
I can hear her breathe heavily but she doesn't answer.
"Caelum ? Can you hear me ?" - I ask again .
"Yes." - She whisper quickly and i let out a breath that i was holding in.
"Where are you ?" - I ask her and look around, everyone is starting to run somewhere , so i move with them.
"School." - Is all she says and continues to breathe heavily.
"Are you injured?" - I ask and she gives me a quick No .
"Are you hiding?" - I then ask and she gives me a quick Yes.
"Are you hiding somewhere in the school ?" - I ask and she gives me another quick Yes.
"Alright, keep hiding , don't go outside. I'll try to find Eira and we'll come for you. Just don't come out." - I say and she whisper Ok .
"I love you. Stay safe." - I says .
"Love you too." - All she says and hangs the phone.

I go downstairs with the others and we exit the emergency doors and everyone start to run. I put my phone in my jean pocket and start to run towards my car. I quickly try to get my keys out of my jacket , when i get it out I quickly open my car doors and sit in. I look around the car and reach under my passenger seat and take out a gun. When i look back up i see someone standing in-front of my car with black eyes. I furrow my eyebrows and quickly start the car. The guy doesn't do anything, he just stands there and smiles . I push the gas and hit him with my car. I put it in reverse and drive out of the parking lot. As soon as i'm out of the Area i take my phone and dial Eiras number again. It starts to ring, it takes couple of seconds before she picks up.
"Where are you ?" - I ask basically yell at the phone.
She's breathing heavily like she's been running or is running ?

"They're attacking ..." - She says taking a breath after each word.
"I know. Where are you ?" - I ask her again after not hearing the answer.
"I'm not so far from the school, by the church..." - she says and i hear a loud thud.
"Eira ?" - I ask and my heart starts to skip faster when she doesn't answer.
"Sorry, i dropped my phone." - She says and i let out a breath.
"Stay right where you are, i'm coming for you." - i say and she hums .
"What's happening ?" - she asks, her voice is different then Cealum's. But at the same time , I didn't really hear Caelum's voice that good. But something's different with this one. She seems more calm then everyone else at my work.
"I'll explain when i find you." - I say and push on the gas more.
The phone suddenly hangs up and i start to panic again. I take my phone and try her number again. And she picks up and i sigh.
"Don't do this ." - I say in a worried voice.
"Don't do what exactly ?" - And suddenly it's like my heart sinks. That's not my daughter on the phone .
"What's wrong Luna ? Lost your voice ?" - the man on the phone asks and i clench my jaw.
"Where's my daughter?" - I ask in a shaky voice.
"Don't worry, she escaped, again. Left this behind." - He says and i clench on the wheel , i start to breath more heavily and tears are forming in my eyes. I quickly hang the phone. I decided to go to school first. Maybe Eira decided to go there too.

It take 'bout 10 more minutes to get to the school. As soon as i get there, i see so many dead bodies of kids just laying on the ground. As i pass them i look around to see if one of daughters aren't one of them and as for luck i don't see them. So i get to the doors and run in. The school looks empty. And quiet. And most of all, bloody. I think this was the first place they came to. What if they found her ? I keep asking myself that as I search for my daughters.
I decided to call Cealum to see if she licks up or not.
The phone starts to ring and soon after she picks up.
"Are you still at school ?" - I ask her.
"Yes and Eira's here too." - She says and i let out a breath that i was holding. I put my hand on my heart and look up .
"Thank god." - I say and close my eyes and a single tear slides down my cheek.
"Mom." - She says and i focus on her again.
"Where are you ?" - I ask her.
"Third floor, room 205... where are you ?" -She says and then asks me.
"I'm at school,i'm coming up, stay right where you are." - I say and she says okey and hangs up. Why is everyone hanging up on me ? Just because i'm saying that i'm coming, doesn't mean i'm telling you to hang up.

I run to the third floor and search for the room 205.
"199...200...201...202...203...204..." - I say as i run pass all these rooms. When i reach the right room i stand and stare at the door for a second before i enter.
I open the door and see my two beautiful daughters sitting and looking out the window. There is couple of other people in the room but my focus is on my daughters. They both turn their head to me at the same time and Caelum runs first to me and hugs me. Eira on the other hand stood up and looked at me. When me and Caelum broke from each others grip i look at Eira. She just stands there , looking at me with raised eyebrows and a small smile on her lips. I want to know what she's thinking right now.

End of the Flashback

I keep looking back at all the other memories and decisions i made. And keep wondering if i made the right choice about Eira and if i made the right decision teaching her all these things she now knows. And soon enough i drift to sleep.
