Remnants: Knight's Soul

The Emerald Forest Act II

Ruined pillars are seen in a forest clearing. They form a circle around a group of large, black, and gold chess pieces that were placed on pedestals. Arthur is seen striding up towards them.

Arthur:" Wow, that was a lot easier than I thought....."

He approached one of the pedestals holding a golden chess piece. A special, golden pawn gleams in the sunlight. Unlike other pawns, it has a crown adorned on its head. Arthur picks it up and feels it with his fingers. He tosses it into the air, letting it spin around, before catching it with his free hand and putting it in a leather pouch on the back of his waist. He walks back out in the clearing

Arthur:" Alright, now that that's done..... I should probably try finding someone to partner with."

The barrel of Knight's Caliber spins before stopping. He brings it up and holds the handle with both hands. He pulls the trigger as a glowing ornamental-like design appears on the 'blade' part of the weapon. Wind and light swirl around the 'blade' as a barrier of light encases it. The barrier grows brighter and brighter before Arthur points the cane backward. He crouches as the barrel of his cane spins again before it stops. 

Arthur:" Burst: Gwynt!"

He jumps forward and pulls the trigger of his cane. While he's in the air an explosion erupts from the 'blade', shattering the barrier around it. A giant whirlwind of high-pressure wind and streams of light blasts out from the weapon, launching Arthur at high speeds into the forest.

Professor Ozmin is seen watching the students progress on a Scroll tablet. As of right now, she's looking at a certain cane wielder practically flying through the trees. She laughs softly as she whispers to herself with a small smile.

Olivia:" Even now......"

Glynda is seen walking next to Olivia with her own tablet. On it, Ren and Nora are seen walking around the forest... well... Ren is walking while Nora is skipping and jumping around while following Ren through the forest.

Glynda:" It seems another pair of students have partnered up. Lian Ren and Nora Valkyrie. Poor girl, I can't imagine those two getting along. Still, she's better of than Miss Nikos.

She swipes her screen, showing Jaune and Pyrrha walking forward to a cave entrance. Olivia looks out towards the forest as Glynda narrows her eyes at her screen.

Glynda:" Olivia, I'm sure we didn't make a mistake but... even so... It seems-"

Before Glynda can finish Olivia cuts her off. 

Olivia:" That Mr. Pennyworth has no one to partner with. We made no mistake, Glynda. This is how I wanted it to be."

Glynda looks up at the silver-haired headmistress in shock. Olivia turns towards Glynda with a calm look.

Glynda:" But why?! If he has no partner, we can't fully accept him into Beacon. Mr. Pennyworth is skilled. Very skilled! It would be a waste to just let him go!"

Glynda seems furious at Olivia's decision.

Olivia:" I did it because of that. He is someone who will exceed expectations. He is a prodigy in using Aura, even exceeding fully-fledged Huntsmen. He is very skilled in combat, exceeding his peers with access to all their senses. He is no fully-fledged Huntsmen when it comes to combat as of right now, but soon he will be at, if not, greatly exceeding that level with the proper teaching... and a little push. This is just a way to let him shine. 

Glynda blinks her eyes in surprise. She had seen Olivia interested in promising students before but this.... this was new. She had bent the rules, she's giving him opportunities, and even supporting the orphanage he stays at. This is the first time Olivia had gone so far for a student.
