Ally is getting better, well aside from the fevers and the horrible coughing, but she was feeling better then when she first got sick. She detested being sick, it caused her to be stuck in her bed for days on end - she liked to be moving and enjoying life, not stuck underneath the sheets in pain as everyone else went on with their day. She did like the attention she got from the girls and her daughter, but she still hated being sick - she could be doing more useful things. Ally scowled at herself, hating that if she stood she would get dizzy - well she might, seeing as she was doing better, but she was pretty sure she was trying to make herself believe that. She might just be trying to make herself feel better as a whole, but she needed to think she was getting better right? Negativity wouldn't get her anywhere.
Ally heard the door open and the sound of shuffling feet against the carpet as the offending person came closer. Ally groaned and pulled her blanket over her head, not bothering to open her eyes and see who the intruder was.
"Al?" She heard Camila's voice whisper. Reluctantly, she pulled her blanket down and opened her eyes, glad that the curtains were blocking out the light - what time was it? Great another day wasted...or was it the morning?
"Ugh, wha?" Ally groaned, somehow making herself look smaller. Camila smiled sympathetically as she saw her girlfriend cringe and rub her forehead.
"Want me to lay with you? Or do you want food? Water? You want to get up or...anything?" Camila asked, sitting at the edge of the bed next to Ally, laying her hand on Ally's flat stomach.
"Food?" Ally asked, liking the sound of getting something in her stomach. "But can we go to the living room and cuddle?" Ally said, her voice nasally.
"Sure, babe, come on," Camila responded as she helped the shorter woman stand. As they walked, Camila made sure Ally didn't trip or anything, really concerned as she watched Ally's weak body support itself with hers. She wasn't supposed to be this weak, what was happening?
With a lot of effort, they both made it downstairs, the other women and Anna crowded around the kitchen and talking among themselves, each looking up when they saw Ally enter the kitchen, the older girls frowning at how weak Ally looked as Anna just smiled at seeing her mama, not really noticing how bad Ally looked.
"Ally have you taken you're medicine yet?" Lauren asked, leaving what she was doing so that she could help Camila sit Ally down on the couch.
"No, I - " Ally began, but stopped moving, swallowing hard, not wanting to throw up, "I think I just need to lay down."
"You're really pale and you're burning, we should go to the hospital." Lauren said, finding it a lot more difficult to get Ally to the sofa, and it got even more difficult when she felt Ally's small body give out.
"Ally!" The women shouted, Dinah running from the kitchen and scooping Ally in her arms and laying her on the couch, Normani right behind her. The women crowded around her, concerned faces on all their faces, all frozen as they registered what had happened, but the sob that erupted from the kitchen caused them to jump to action.
"Camila, call an ambulance, Normani can you pack us some clothes, Lauren get all the medicine Ally has taken so far, and I'll calm Anna down." Dinah said, hanging on to the little bit of control she had left as the girls all broke apart and went to do what they were told. Dinah breathed in a deep breath and walked into the kitchen and scooped up the small ball that was her daughter and cradled her, moving closer to the kitchen to make sure Ally was okay until Camila was done talking on the phone.
"Shh, baby girl, it's okay, she's just tired and she'll wake up in a few hours okay?" Dinah said, trying to reassure her daughter, but she found herself unsure of what would happen, seeing as she didn't understand what was wrong with Ally. Dinah swayed and hummed as best as she could, thanking Lauren as she brought her Anna's shoes and her own.
