"Al, will you please chill for a second? I promise we'll be leaving soon, we just need the nurse to bring us the discharge papers and then we can leave." Normani's voice rang throughout the room, a playful tone lacing her voice, "you're like a child." Normani whispered under her breath, but loud enough for Ally to hear, earning a playful scowl from her smaller girlfriend before she hit her arm playfully, letting out a huff and crossing her arms like a child; the other girls looking at the two with amusement as Anna watched with a fond smile playing on her face as she leaned against Dinah and Lauren.
Nate jerked his head up and hit it with the bottom of the bed, letting out a cry of pain, his pain coming full force, causing him to let out several sobs of pain out, his ribs burning as he let out labored breaths as he cried.
"Did you hear that?" Nate let out a whimpered cry as he heard the voices point out the loud pang that had been heard when he had hit his head, ignoring the fact that he was practically sobbing at the pain he felt.
Ally furrowed her brows and cocked her head to the side questioningly, looking at the other girls in the room as they all wondered what was going on. They all stood from where they were and took action, Ally getting off the bed and kneeling beside it, Camila coming to join her, and looked underneath the hospital bed. Dinah grabbed Anna as the small girl cried out and fear and quickly jumped into her momma's arms, hiding her head in Dinah's neck. Normani and Lauren stood behind Camila and Ally, ready to pull them out of the way in case there was something dangerous underneath - even if there wasn't, it was better safe than sorry.
"Hey," Ally began when she saw the sobbing boy underneath the bed. He seemed familiar, the way his eyes glazed over with fear and his face expressed his terror, was sadly familiar, but she couldn't place it. Ignoring her thoughts, she looked at the boy with what she hopped to be a warm and safe smile as she began to speak to him. "Are you okay?"
Ally watched as the boy shook his head and rubbed his head as best as he could seeing as he was still beneath the bed. Ally and Camila looked at each other with concern before Ally mouthed for Camila to get her some juice and a nurse - Camila nodded her head and quickly stood and did as she was asked.
"Why don't you come out of there and we can try to make you feel better?" Ally said, smiling warmly as she watched the boy look at her wearily, doubt feeling his green orbs. "I promise nothing is gonna happen, plus it seems pretty yucky down there, I think it would be better up here, don't you think?" Ally said soothingly, her eyes showing her concern and her sincerity in only wanting to help.
Nate cocked his head and suddenly remembered why this woman looked so familiar, she was one of the woman that adopted Anna - he couldn't forget, they were the one that took the only thing he truly protected and cared about away from him. He didn't see it as a bad thing, he was actually glad for them taking Anna away because Ms. Freed only seemed to be getting worse, and there was only so much he could do to help. They saved her and he had been extremely glad for that - he may be young, but he knew the danger of staying at the orphanage, he knew no one was safe except for visitors and Ms. Freed herself, and when he had seen Anna walk away with her new mommies, he hadn't been happier because at least one of them was out of harms way. He was young for a lot of things, but living the five years of his life with almost daily abuse caused him to grow quicker than any child should, so he understood why Anna was taken away and why that had been such a good thing. He looked at the woman's brown kind eyes and slowly nodded his head. He wasn't sure what he was nodding at - his approval of how nice this woman seemed to be, his approval of Anna leaving and being safe, or his approval to leave the safety of being underneath the bed.
