"Seth De Luca," I moaned. Fuck me all you want.
There was no way that could be possible. It made no sense. He wasn't stupid to walk into a death trap. We both knew it would be the end of my life if anyone should see us. My stomach tightened. Almost all the content came out.
"How in the world are you still alive by being here?" I asked. Even unsure of my words, my body screamed for his touch once more.
He pulled my legs apart, one of his hands holding my hands up against the wall. The devil himself wasn't scared of death. "If I want you, I'll have you," he finally said.
I scoffed at his face. "Wait till I tell everyone you are here."
He laughed. "That is if I don't kill you first."
He could have killed me before I said a word, and no one would care if I was gone. The head of the De Luca sect had me in his stiff arms, and no one was there to protect me. As usual.
There was no need to look for help. I might as well enjoy the fun of having the devil's cock in my throat choking me to death. That's when it hit me — I wanted him inside of me.
I flashed him a smile as my legs parted ways for evil to enter. I pulled him close enough so that my lips were right in his ear. "Fuck me however you want. Master," I whispered.
When his brain came fully online, he flashed an electric smirk. I forgot about his finger still inside of me, swirling around my clit. "Who would have ever thought Zoey Moretti would whisper such in my ears."
"Do it!" I softly bit his earlobe, causing him to grunt as his cock got harder. "It's time to show me how evil you are, Set De Luca."
He pulled away and fixed his lustful gaze on me. "Woman, don't tempt the devil."
We both went silent, our hearts racing like horses.
Before any sinful act could happen, the door jolted open. "What the hell! Zoey!" Alessa stood there, staring at me in Seth's arms. Our enemy.
My knees became weak, accompanied by heat on my tingling face. I wasn't the typical Moretti daughter, which was added to the list of outrageous things I had done — it was a shameful position.
Seth stepped away from me, hands in the air, staring down at Alessa, who had one hand behind her back. "You are dead, Seth!" she spat.
He smirked and dusted his tux. "It's you, Alessa, who should be worried about death. Because I leave here in a body bag, we will bury your whole family tomorrow morning." He laughed and winked at her.
My brain cells came back to me. "No one is fucking dying here today. Not on my watch."
Alessa dropped the hand behind her back. As much as we both hated to admit it, the devil was right. We would all be dead before the sun is up if she kills him.
Moretti and De Luca's family had been at war even before I was born, but this time the hate was seeping through our veins. My father had set up Seth's family using Alessa's sister as a seductive pawn. Her job was to lure his cousin to have a relationship with him and, at the right time, steal financial documents as blackmail. Our family was excellent at stealing because it worked. But that didn't matter. We were all cruel criminals, running after what would fetch wealth and power.
"I'm leaving now, ladies." Seth leaned in and kissed Alessa on the cheek.
The skin on her face stretched in a snarl.
He laughed and walked away.
No matter how much I was told to hate him, the man was beautiful without his mask on. Though bald, his beard was well trimmed to fit his firm jaw. His grey eyes filled with sparks of fire, matching the perfectly fitted tuxedo.
"I don't want to see you again," I told him.
"You wish," he shouted from the hallway.
When the door closed, I felt a sting on my face. I rubbed my cheek, realizing Alessa had slapped me. "What was that for?"
"For being so stupid. Of all the men you could grab, you had to pick Seth De Luca? Are you fucking kidding me?"
I waved my hands at her. "He was the one who freaking grabbed me."
She flapped her hand, dismissing my truth. "Spare me the story. I saw how your eyes were all over him. If you had your way, you'd have let him fuck you here. In your father's house. Zoey, always causing drama."
If only you all knew why. I wished Seth had his way with me, and then it would bite everyone, and maybe finally they'll all see me. "Listen, this wasn't supposed to happen."
"And I'm supposed to believe you?"
I rolled my eyes and tried to cover myself up in my torn gown. "You can believe whatever bullshit you want to believe. It won't fix my gown."
Her lips curved into a smile. "You're lucky I love you. Let's go through the back door. Everyone is still dancing and focusing on the birthday girl."
Of course. I wasn't as important as Avery because I decided not to take part in the family business, but I was not shy about spending the illicit money.
"Let's hope your mother doesn't see you sneaking out half-naked. The whole of South Haven will cry blood."
We both laughed. Alessa was the only family I had that still got me. But her cold eyes, while I was in Seth's arms, made me believe she, too, was going to leave my side soon.
Fuck my life.
