As Kentaro-san created a giant longsword out of spirit energy and cut down the bars on Akemi-san's cell, I kept guard for any guards that might appear.
Just a heads up, me and Kentaro-san are currently stuck in the heart of the enemy territory, in a quest to find Akemi-san, the kidnapped princess.
Now apparently this is the main base of the enemy, given the number of guards, but Kentaro-san beat them all with a single chop to the back of their heads.
Quality over quantity.
We freed Akemi-san.
Kentaro-san used some healing thingies and put a glowing palm on Akemi-san's stomach.
She regained consciousness and looked up to us, but then again fell down.
She must have been hurt a lot.
Kentaro-san piggybacked Akemi-san and then we both ran for the gate, but then.
"Ack!", Kentaro-san covoured the wound he got on his waist.
A random masked guy just popped out of nowhere.
He held a naginata, which seemed to be made out of Spirit Energy.
Nice.
So there are 3 ways in which spirit energy can be used-
1) Physical Manifestation: Creates weapons out of nowhere. Can be learned to use and improved on by training.
2) Spiritual Manifestation: Creates magical thingies which can be used in a variety of ways. Also can be learnt to used and improved on by training.
3) Total Manifestation: The host is completely enveloped in spirit energy whose form resembles the host's spirit beast. Also, can be learnt and improved on by training.
I haven't learned nothing, but so far Kentaro-san and the guy that just popped up were using physical manifestation just now.
Kentaro-san's main weapon is a longsword, while the guy's seems to be a Naginata.

So now we have this guy who looks quite skilled with it. And he wears a mysterious mask.
Normally, though all 3 are learnable at the same time, only either one of the three can be mastered properly.
There are very few people in the world who can use 2 of the types or all 3 types and even rarer people who have mastered them.
Kentaro-san put down Akemi-san, who had been on his back, to the side.
He withdrew his longsword, literally, and used Spiritual Manifestation.
He created a huge flaming fireball in both his hands.
"Nice choice indeed", the masked Naginata guy changed into a defensive stance.
"You don't need to tell me, unmannered brat", he changed into an offensive stance.
And meanwhile, I can do nothing but watch.
Just great.
It's like I wasn't even needed in this operation.
Kentaro-san just basically solo-ed the whole place.
Ughh.
So I did the only I could, take Akemi-san and try to exit from any other place.
And the guy didn't even allow that.
"Tch tch tch, little boys never learn do they?"
