The next morning I was woken up by the alarm on my phone going off, the noise was like nails on a chalkboard seeing as how hungover I was, I reached over turning it off then snuggling back up to Sam. He kept his eyes closed but wrapped his arms around me pulling me close,

"Do you need to be up for something?" He mumbled,

"No, I just forgot to turn it off before we went to sleep last night," I said quietly as I nuzzled my face under his

"Good, I don't want to leave this bed for at least another 8 hours," He said jokingly, I giggled,

"Me neither," We both fell back asleep for a couple of hours before I felt Sam shift in the bed. I looked over to see him sitting on the edge. "Nooo don't leave me," I said as I leaned over wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Sloan I have to get up," He laughed looking back at me and removing my arms

"Whyyy" I said sticking out my bottom lip and pouting

"We have an online interview and Josh texted me that he and I got the short straw." He stood up, "speaking of texts your phones been going off you may want to check it." I rolled over and grabbed my phone

Jake: Can we please talk baby 9:12

Jake: Sloan, Please. 10:30

"Ugh" I groaned as I tossed my phone on the bed and pulled my pillow over my face

"Whats wrong?" Sam asked picking up my phone and looking, "You know you're eventually going to have to talk to him," He said his voice slightly annoyed as he handed me my phone.

"I know, I just don't want to yet." I said softly as Sam nodded. It was true, we were on the bus for 2 days before our next stop. I would eventually talk to him but I didn't want to yet, not until I could figure out how I felt. Why had I gotten so angry and upset.

"Well, I want to get some coffee before I get ready for the interview do you want some?"

"Yes please," I answered. He made his way out of the door and after a few minutes I could hear talking on the other side,

"Did she leave her phone at the bar last night?" Jake asked, assuming thats why I wasn't responding.

"No," Sam said plainly

"Well can I talk to her for a minute?" Jake said, I couldn't tell the tone of his voice, was he irritated or desperate.

"She doesn't want to talk to you right now." Sam said

"How do you know that, just let me in for 5 minutes," I heard as the door slightly jostle. I sat up in the bed expecting to have to go break up a fight.

"Jake back off, she doesn't want to see you, you need to respect her boundaries." Sam said slightly more aggressive this time. He opened the door to come back into the room, I looked past him to see Jake standing in the hallway, his face was red but I could tell he was holding back tears. We made brief eye contact before he looked away as Sam closed the door. I looked up at Sam, his face serious as he sat down our coffee mugs on the side table,

"Sloan.." Sam said softly as he sat on the bed, "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, what is it babe," I said scooching over on the bed and taking his hand

"Why did you get so upset last night, seeing him with another girl?" He asked biting the inside of his cheek as he waited for my response,

"I think it just shocked me,"
