Allison's POV:

I was sitting next to Alex on the bench who was sitting by Lucas. Lucas has quickly became friends with us. It's kind of cool. He was texting his friends. I was writing in a notebook and I notice someone behind me, Riley. I scrunched my eyebrows and looked at the blonde Maya. I quirked my eyebrows at her in question. She just shrugged her shoulders. So I nod and go back to writing. The bell rang as we walked into class. I went to my seat and sat there. I was watching everyone in the class and listening to Mr. Matthews talk to his daughter. I sigh. We were talking about connecting people and how cell phones were everything and stuff. I don't have one well I do but not smart phone one of those phones I can text and call that's it.
He was calling on us for our perspective. I raised my hand which he was shocked but I'm trying to be outgoing again. He nod. "Allison."
I stood up shakily. "Well, I agree with you. I don't really have a smart phone. I have one it's nice to call someone when you need to in emergencies and stuff but I also think sometimes it's awesome to look up once in awhile and look at the world around us."
Mr. Matthews smiled "thanks Allison."
I nod and went back to my seat. I looked at Alex and he smiled. "I'm proud of you."
I smiled back. Then Mr. Matthews took our phones for the assignment and everyone flipped out but me and Alex. I'm kind of excited. I don't mind and I love the library.

I was pair with Farkle and Maya. I think I know what I want to do. I got out my notebook and begin writing in it. Alex got pair with Lucas and Riley. I'm kind of nervous. I was waiting in the hall. "Hey meet us at Riley's to go to the library" Maya said. "Here's the address."
"Thanks."

Later we met with the group and went to the library. I went over to this bench and grabbed my notebook and begin writing in it again. I wrote in it some lyrics as Farkle was rambling on about what you can do without phones and technology. He looked at my book and said "wow. That's amazing."
I smiled "thanks"
"These lyrics tell a story?" He asked.
I nod my head yes.
Maya saw it too. "Are you okay?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "I have really bad anxiety. I haven't talk to anyone besides my brother."
"Oh, are you close." Farkle asked.
I answered him with a smile "he's the only one who can calm me down."

Alex's POV:

While Riley walked to talk to the librarian I was left with Lucas. "I have a question. Why is your sister have really bad anxiety?"
I sighed "well I'll tell you a little. She watched our mother get killed in front of her. On top of something else happened and I'm not saying that yet. This move was hard. If something happens to her. I just can't think about that man."
He nods "okay. If you need anything let me know."
"Thanks, man" I said. "I think I'm going to go home soon."
"Okay." He said. I got up to check on my sister.
"Hey, kid ready to go." I asked.
She nod and we went home. "I'm so proud of you. You are talking again to people."
"Yeah, thanks for saving me that night." She said.
I chuckle. "Through thick and thin." I said connecting our pinks together.
"Through thick and thin" she said.

Allison's POV:

So we all got up and gave our presentations in class after Mr. Matthews freaked out. I got up with Farkle and Maya. "We learned you can do other things with out phones."
I got out my guitar and sang this song called "Fading Away."

A/N: not my song. This is Lisa Cimorelli's song. I just like her music.

By the end of the song I was crying. And my brother got up to hug me.

I soon realized that everything would be alright.
