It was warm as summer rain
Like a midnight swimmer
Who never came back again
I never meant to fall for you
But I was meant to abide
It always felt like my life
Led right to your side
Hid under the night
Not a need to transgress
A woman and a man
No more and yet no less
And nothing mattered then
Except for you and I
Standing there, so close,
Beneath the starlit sky
If you're my salvation
I want to earn it
If love is all I can give
Then let me give it
It only took one night
For our fates to seal
Happiness came so fast
Could it be true?
Could it be real?
Even then, it was hard to hide
Our feelings, and thus,
It never took much convincing
To make me believe in us
Who knows how love begins?
It takes you by surprise
One day it's simply there
And drives you to feel
More joy than you can bear
