     Me and Sarah were close from a young age. In fact, one of my clearest memories is of going to her house to play as kids, which was right next door to ours. We were inseparable. I was there when she broke up with her first crush. She was there when I was getting involved in things I shouldn't have gotten involved in. We were both there for each other when our teacher tried to give us 1-year detention. And I was so close to becoming more than just friends with her. So close to falling in love. But now I guess that's all a dream of the past, because she's gone for good.


    The debates went on all night. Who was suspicious, who was innocent. Who could be trusted, who couldn't. But I was too mournful to participate. Mournful for what me and Sarah had both lost - each other. I could barely hold myself together! I didn't speak another word all night.


     The only person who noticed how upset I was getting was Lily. She comforted me the best she could, which still couldn't do much to make me feel better. The funny thing was, I didn't remember ever seeing her anywhere else up until we boarded the supply ship.  Which was strange because our evacuation ship was small to begin with. That should have been an obvious clue towards the realization that came later on. The realization that would change everything....
