The first period was finally over and Yejun, Jake and Sunghoon were on the way to the cafeteria. They brought Sunoo with them so they could introduce him to the others.
"Oh there you are", Jay said as they finally reached the table. It wasn't easy to get there, as it was a bit crowded around Jay and Heeseung. "As we can see, you're now four instead of three. Yah, aren't you that cute boy from primary school? Yes, I remember. What's your name again?"

"Oh, I'm Sunoo", the boy quickly responded and sat down next to Jay.
"Heeseung oppa, d'you have something to eat? I'm starving as I wasn't able to have breakfast this morning", Yejun asked her boyfriend and sat down on his lap, looking innocently at Heeseung.
"Sure", he answered and grabbed his breakfast out of his rucksack. Yejun smiled brightly and started to eat happily.
Then all of the sudden, Sunoo started to look around, as he was searching for someone. Then he waved at two boys and shouted: "Over here!"

"What?" Sunghoon was confused and looked at Sunoo slightly shocked.
"Oh, two friends of mine are going to this school too. They are first-years."
"Wait, aren't we enough already? Do we actually need to be eight?", Sunghoon sighed and watched two boys coming to their table. "Ehh, Yejun"
"Hmm?", Yejun made, as she wasn't able to speak, while chewing the bread, but instead of responding, Sunghoon just pointed at the boys' direction. Yejun followed his glare and her eyes widened.
Now the two first-years finally reached them and literally everyone but Sunoo fell silent.
Heeseung was the first to speak.
"Hi. Jungwon, Niki."
"Wait, you know each other?", Sunoo asked surprised and all of them slowly nodded. "How?" His voice now sounded excited.
Yejun was about to say something, but Niki was faster.

"I rejected her." His eyes fell on Yejun.

Flashback

'Why have I been so stupid. I shouldn't have ask him out', Yejun thought. It was her third week of her second year of high school and she already wished, she would be dead by now. She just ended a relationship and was now crying instead of being in the classroom. She used the excuse that she needed to have a wee, but it has been half an hour by now and Yejun can't stop crying. 'I can never talk to him again. I'm so stupid.'
She sobbed another fifteen minutes on the loo, before she decided to come out. The corridor was so overcrowded again, it must have been lunch break. She hurried into the cafeteria and searched for her brothers, till she finally found them.
"Thanks god, you're here..."
"What? The better question is, where have you been?", Sunghoon asked. "You almost missed the whole first period!"
"I know that. Listen, is Jake here?"

"No", Jay answered. "He felt sick and left a few minutes ago."
Yejun let out an relieved breath and before Jay could ask, she turned around to get herself something to eat, but bumped instantly in a tall, good looking guy, who looked a bit younger than Yejun.
"Sorry", he apologised and looked at floor. "My bad."
He was about to walk away, when she grabbed his wrist and looked the boy in the eyes.
"Yah, I said I'm sorry. No need to overreact."
'Oh shit. What did I just do?' Yejun was confused about her action and she thought about something to say, that sounded like an apologise, but asked instead: "You have a girlfriend?"
'WHAT? NO! YEJUN, YOU JUST BROKE UP WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND!'
"Pardon?"

"N-nothing", Yejun stuttered and let go of his wrist.
"Sorry, but I actually don't need a girlfriend." With this, the boy turned around and left with his friend, who laughed at both of them, the cafeteria.
A shocked Yejun turned around, went to Sunghoon and leaned her head against his shoulder.
"Sunghoon-ah, help me", she mumbled.
"Woah, did you just get rejected by Nishimura Riki?", Jay asked and the back of his sister.
"Jay oppa? You don't know him, do you?"
"Of course I know him. He's actually a kind first-year. But I didn't know you had a crush on him. Isn't he a bit too young for you? Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped you. And does Jake know?"
Yejun sighed heavily and fought hard to hold her tears back.
"Today is just not my day..."
