My Christmas gift to you ❤How is the Christmas celebration going in your area???
__________________________________Salt as people know is nice for food and snacks but too much of it spoils the food. Life is like a food. Christy was one of the salts in my life. Christy was a hundred table spoon of salt in a half derica cooked rice.
I had emptied the money I had in my account just to book a bus going to my village. I wasn't bluffing when I said I was starting all over again. I was at the back seat of the moving bus, staring out the window while gazing at the beautiful night sky. It was probably two in the morning.
Resting my head against the rolled up glass, I wish I could do a lot of things like getting a hold of my earpiece and connecting it with my phone while listening to a cool music that matches the scenery. Unfortunately, there was a big BUT. My phone was twelve percent, my earpiece had only one ear working and that one ear had to be readjusted couple of times before it eventually works. I hated stress so didn't bother.
Most people were asleep in the bus since it was a night journey but my thought were haywire, reason why I couldn't sleep.
There was no way Christy would give Baby that money now. How many farm lands would I clear before I can gather Baby's money? Tons, that's for sure.
We nuh go fall
We go go, we go win
You go know
All of the blessings fall on my yard
Blessings dey for my yardAnd like that
E go be, you see
You go feel
Because the blessings
Fall on my yard
Blessings fall on my yardThat's why I sip my alcohol~
I swiped to answer after seeing the unknown number, then placing it on my left ear. The unfortunate person was my neighbor, since the call woke her up.
"Hello," I yawned into the phone. The individual at the other end made a pause before speaking.
"Am I speaking to Hope?" The lady finally spoke.
"Who's asking?" I stared out the window, thinking deep if I was owing someone else that wasn't Baby.
"Hi, I'm Dorcas, the lady in charge of hiring a bodyguard for one of Flimzy's stars." I nodded, absent-minded.
"Can I speak to Hope? I want to tell him we've considered skills over brawn and he's hired."
Hi-what?!
Every trace of tiredness was totally gone as I jumped on my seat. "Um..... S-sorry. I'm Cherry, Hope's sister. I'll give Hope the phone right now. Hope!"
Everyone on the bus jumped and stared at me quizzically. But who cares, I'd be hundred kay richer than those morons.
"Come and get the phone!" I lowered my voice to say something on the phone. "He's coming."
After waiting for three seconds, I cleared my throat and spoke deep. "Hello?"
"Jesus," Muttered the passenger sitting close to me while I made an eye roll. No one could mind their business again.
"Hi, am I speaking to Hope?" The lady asked again, for confirmation.
"Ah, yes." My voice became even deeper and I hoped it was convincing enough. "It's quite late ma'am, so I apologize for my husky voice."
"Oh, I'm the one meant to be apologizing for calling this late. Please, accept my apologies." The lady rushed. "I'm here to inform you that with so much consideration we've decided to take you."
