It was three am when Sirius fell asleep on top of his books. Remus found him in the morning, snoring lightly with a page stuck to his face.

"Sirius." Remus whispered. Remus was looking lightly at his friend. He was very beautiful right now, even though he was drooling over the slightly tousled but still made bedsheets.

"Sirius," Remus tried again, now kneeling on the floor next to the bed. He was basically eye level with Sirius. Sirius still didn't wake up, Remus found himself studying every part of Sirius' face.

The small mole on his left cheekbone,
The tiny scar by his ear,
His hair- messy- laying so ungracefully yet gracefully over his forehead.

"Sirius." Third times a bliss, they say. And Remus understood that this would have been awkward if James or Peter saw how he was simply just watching Sirius sleeping.

Well, when he thought about it, it was kinda creepy too.

Sirius groaned, sat up.

His hair looked like he had put it in a bun, but was now only partly held up and the rest was falling around his face.

Remus stood up with a jolt as Sirius rubbed at his eyes.

He yawned, "good morning Sirius." Remus said, and left into the bathroom that peter had just now exited.

It took sirius a few seconds to understand where, when, who and why he was.

Couldn't figure out the last one though.

He chocked on his own spit and fell out of his bed.

"Sirius?" James turned the corner around sirius' bedframe and looked at him with wide, weirded out eyes.

"Hm? Yeah, what?" Sirius hurried to his feet and looked around for something.

"You good?" James raised his eyebrows.

"Hm? What, yeah, of course. I'm fine, just perfect." Sirius stammered and turned his back to james.

"Alright." James said, not convinced but he didnt push it.

Sirius felt strange, foreign, unfamiliar.

Felt Weird

He sighed, and put his head on the pillow.

Sirius had been drifting between sleep and conscious.

He'd felt remus' breath on his face. Panicked, he didnt open his eyes. Making remus think he was stil asleep.

Remus exited the bathroom and caught sirius' eye.

"Good morning, remus." Sirius smiled. Though his heart was hammering against his rib cage.

Remus broke their eye contact quickly and grabbed his sweater.

It was a hogsmeade weekend, and they were all going there together.

What else is new.

Regulus Still wasn't let out of the hospital wing on his own.

The people who had  literally thrown him into violence while he was incapable of protecting himself were still out there. It wasnt safe for him alone.

Especially as his eyesight was getting slightly worse, and oh! He's deaf now.

Regulus' parents had indeed been written to about the situation, but no answer was received other than an empty-handed owl.

Regulus didnt know what that meant, would they still accept him back for the winter hols?

Would they make him stay at Hogwarts?

Well, regulus dint even know if madam Pomfrey would let him leave, at this rate, he might as well just move in.

sirius was really getting there with the signing.

he bet that regulus was probably too, as there wasn't much else to do where he had bee stuck for the past week.

Wednesday night, sirius was trying to get the signs to sit.

But he was too restless, and couldn't focus on the words nor the pictures.

He sighed, pulled his shoes on and went to go for the door handle.

"Where are you going?" He heard from behind him. Remus.

"I cant quite focus on the pages any longer." He sighed.

"The sign language?"  Remus asked.

Sirius nodded, "indeed."

"I can help you if you'd like?" Remus offered. Sirius looked at him, brows furrowed.

Remus chuckled. "I'm a nativ signer y'know." He put the book he was earlier reading on his nightstand.

"You're what?" Sirius asked, confused.

"It means that I've been signing since i was a kid." Remus explained.

"Why?" Sirius questioned.

"Well," remus began, "my sister was born deaf, so i learned to sign really early so i could talk to her."

Sirius looked at him in awe,  "so, do you want the help or not?" Remus pushed, blushing under the gaze of the other boy.

"Yes." Sirius said, they sat down on sirius' bed, where the books were still laying open. "Thanks."
