Jin looked up at the sound of the cafe door opening and smiled brightly at the newcomer who was walking towards the counter.

"Welcome. I'm Jin. What can get you?" Jin asked with a cheery voice.

"Uhh.. an iced Americano, please." Jungkook replied and Jin gave a nod and started to make it.

On the way to the cafe and the 10 or so minutes standing at an alleyway nearby, Jungkook had thought really hard about how to approach the cafe staff. He didn't even have a clear idea about what he was looking for so it couldn't be anything specific. And also, the last thing Jungkook wanted was to tip V off.

"I'm actually here to meet my friend." Jungkook said in a careful voice and Jin glanced back momentarily. "His name is V."

"You're V's friend? I think you just missed him." Jin replied as he handed over the coffee to Jungkook.

"Oh... that's bad. I must have gotten the time wrong. Do you know where he lives or works?"

Something flashed across Jin's eyes but before Jungkook could identify what it was, Jin masked it with a tight smile.

"Sorry, I don't know. Why don't you give him a call? He left not so long ago. I'm sure you'll be able to catch up with him."

"That's the thing, I think I have misplaced the number somewhere. I was just asked to come here today."

Jin gave a slight nod from his head but didn't answer. Another customer came right then so Jin was momentarily busy. Jungkook silently sipped his coffee for a few minutes as he contemplated whether to proceed or not. This guy did not seem to be into chatting much. Jungkook was getting an unfriendly or even a hostile vibe from him.

But Jungkook was also not a person who would give up easily so after the customer left with his order, he attempted to spike a conversation again.

"Does he come here often? I might be able to meet him next time then."

Jin lightly banged his hand on the counter, startling Jungkook, and few other customers with the loud noise. He leaned over the counter so that his face was somewhat closer to Jungkook.

"Look here, mister-" Jungkook felt a shiver go down his spine at that tight voice. "-I don't know what you're trying to do and frankly, I don't care. I don't remember or keep a track of my customers. If you are done with your coffee, I suggest you get the fuck out of my cafe."

There wasn't anything Jungkook could do, other than giving a slight nod and taking a step back. It was clear that he had misjudged the other. The guy had a friendly and gentle appearance but it seemed he could be pretty intimidating.

Jungkook gulped the rest of the coffee in one-go and left the cafe. He wasn't actually hoping for much but he was still pretty disappointed. Deciding to call it a day, Jungkook walked back to the mansion. The day has been such a waste as he couldn't even check the internet cafe as he initially planned.

Making a mental note to check it on the next available day, Jungkook reached his room. He put the key to unlock it but to his surprise, the door was not locked. After a few seconds of pausing outside the door, Jungkook took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

The room was in semi darkness as it was evening now but still he could make the shape of a man sitting on his bed. Jungkook walked in and closed the door behind him. He switched on the light and was met with the sight of V, whose face was lit up with that annoying smirk.

V was leaning on his palms in a relaxed pose, with one leg over the other. He was wearing the same clothes as Jungkook saw him earlier, minus the cap he was wearing.

"I've been waiting for you, doll."

Jungkook's heartbeat was erratic but his voice was steady when he spoke. "Why are you in my room, V?"

"Since you seemed to be so... interested in me, I thought I should return the affection." V's voice sounded so smug and teasing.

"I'm not interested-"

"-Did you have a good coffee?" V abruptly cut Jungkook's denial as he got up and walked towards him. "You know, Jin hyung makes these killer cappuccinos. You should try that next time."

Jungkook didn't say anything because frankly, he didn't have anything to say. He never expected V to know about his little tailing activities. Guess he underestimated the other. V on the other hand, looked quite amused with the tense and tongue-tied state of the younger.

"Oh doll.." V said in a deep and rather sensual tone and Jungkook tensed at that immediately. "If you wanted to know me, all you had to do was ask."

V was now walking in a slow circle around Jungkook and the latter just stood there frozen.

"I'm more than happy to let you know me. You can get to know me real good. What do you say, doll?" V's breath hit Jungkook's earlobe as he whispered into Jungkook's ear.

It took Jungkook a few seconds to calm his mind and gather his thoughts enough to come back with a reply. "N-no thanks, I'll pass."

V's melodious laugh rang through the room. It would have been a beautiful sound if the atmosphere wasn't this tense.

"Too bad." V said as he walked around and stood in front of Jungkook. "You started it. Now, I will show you who I am. Little by little. And if you behave like the good boy you are, I might even let you in on a few secrets."

V's eyes held a mischievous glint which made Jungkook's stomach chun uncomfortably. V looked at the man in front of him for a few seconds before leaving forward and whispering into his ear.

"Sleep tight, my doll."

With that, V walked towards the door but stopped just before he opened it. He looked over his shoulder at Jungkook and cleared his throat to get the latter's attention.

"Did you atleast find something useful?" V eyes held an emotion which Jungkook was unable to comprehend before he spoke up again. "Cause I sure did."

Jungkook stood frozen for at least a good few minutes before he was pulled back to his senses. He walked towards the bed with shaky legs and plopped on to that. He had this feeling that he was missing something important so he replayed the conversation over his head a few times.

With a sudden gasp, Jungkook sprinted to the table in his room. He carefully removed the fake bottom that he fixed in the drawer on the very first day he was in his room.

Jay had a man escort him to the hotel he was staying to pick up his belongings and the travelling bag. The bag would be the first place someone would look, so he couldn't hide anything there.

That's why he carefully created this fake drawer by adding an extra layer of board to create a fake bottom. It was a damn good hiding spot but to Jungkook's dismay, it seemed like V managed to find it.

Because the gun that was inside, was now facing the opposite direction.

V was humming a little happy tune as he walked back to his own room. His face had a smile but his mind was a little worried. He didn't know what he hoped to find when he searched Jungkook's room, but it was certainly not this.

The NAA-22s gun he found there was one of the smallest guns in the world. It could easily be tucked inside a cowboy hat and even in drink cups, making it really difficult to detect. Due to its secretive and dangerous nature, the buying and selling of this cutie is highly monitored, even in the underground mafia.

It is not something that a man who came to Korea only a week and half ago, in search of his ex-fiance would be able to get his hands on.

Min Jungkook is definitely not the man he says he is.
