43 - Fancy Meeting You Here.

The people in the mission control room had been holding their breath as they heard the continuous gun shot sounds through the comm device. Sounds of yelling and groaning could also be heard but Bambam's voice giving orders to his men was booming over all of that.

Namjoon cursed and ran a hand through his hair when Bambam's voice conveyed that two of their men got injured. Thank god it wasn't serious cause they were not in a position to provide immediate medical assistance to anybody.

Jungkook kept his hands folded on his lap to prevent them from shaking too badly. Everything was new to him and it was a lot for him to take in. He had only started his police training before he had to take a break and while he had an idea things would be like this, it was not the same as actually experiencing.

And it's even more terrible when you know that it's your loved ones that are under fire.

Jungkook was so worried about everyone. Jin, Hoseok.. but the face that constantly flashed in front of his eyes, was of Taehyung's. 'Please be safe.' Jungkook kept praying in his head. He wished he had been there to help the elder, even though there literally nothing he's capable of doing. Yet.

He just couldn't imagine losing Taehyung, right after he got him.

Once the gun sounds stopped, everyone waited to see what was happening. Then Taehyung's voice came through the comm device.

"Red Fox is here."

Jungkook gasped a little but the sound was so tiny that only Yoongi and Jimin heard it. Yoongi gently squeezed the younger's hand and Jimin turned around to give a comforting smile.

Namjoon's face looked tight as he tried to control his emotions. This was what they came for. And the chief wanted this to end today, one way or the other.

"Long time, no see, V."

Taehyung felt his pulse accelerate at that. He quickly spoke into his comm device. "Red Fox is here."

The change that came over his team was noticeable. Everyone was alert and tense. This is what they were here for. After getting a nod from Bambam, Taehyung spoke up.

"Hello Jay, Fancy meeting you here."

Jay's menacing laugh could be heard in the next second. And Taehyung knew by experience it to be the one that comes out when Jay's fully into his psychotic mind.

"Jin, do you have a visual?" Bambam quietly spoke in to the comm and Jin answered immediately.

"Negative. No visuals yet."

"Ok. Hold your position."

Taehyung reverted his attention back to Jay who was speaking again.

"Wish I could say it's a pleasure.. but it's really not."

"Oh the pleasure is all mine." Taehyung replied in a teasing manner. "I'm so glad I get to see you today."

"There's some movements happening in the east side. About 10 people. Don't have a clear shot." Jin's voice sounded urgent.

"Shit!! We are pinned here." Bambam cursed. "Mark, get ready for my command."

"Speaking of pleasure, Where's that lover boy of yours?" Jay sneered back as a response to Taehyung's teasing. "If I had known, I would have let my boys have him right there. And made you fucking watch as he beg for them to stop. I'm very disappointed that we didn't get to see him cry."

Jungkook stiffened at the other end while Yoongi cursed loudly. Jungkook had told him everything that happened but the younger one didn't go much into details. They had a few months of things to cover so Jungkook only gave him the brief version.

Taehyung had given the others even a briefer  version of it so apart from the people who were actually present there, no one really knew the horrendous things that happened. Or rather, what could have happened. But with what Jay had said right now, it didn't leave any doubt on anyone's mind.

Taehyung gritted his teeth and tried to calm down. Jay was trying to rile him up but he wasn't a fool to fall into the trap that easily. Taehyung focused his mind on the fact that his baby is safe now, and this bastard will never get to lay a single finger on him again.

"Oh well-" Taehyung started with a bored tone. "He dumped me, you know."

"What?!"

'Yeah. What?!' Jungkook thought to himself while Jimin turned to give him a knowing smile. "Don't worry, he just wants to make sure that the next bomb is not gonna be in your car."

"Hmmp.." Jungkook didn't know what to say to that so he turned his attention back to the voices coming from the comm device.

"Yeah. Turns out he doesn't like lying and deceiving assholes. Especially when you made it look like I tortured his sister."

Taehyung sounded really convincing, just the right amount of disappointment, sadness but also with a hint of a 'I don't give a fuck' attitude.

"Ohh.. too bad. Maybe I'll pay him a visit myself."

"Guys get ready." Taehyung spoke to the comm device before addressing Jay. He's just about to lay his trap.

"Won't be easy though, he went back to the States. But Jay, why are you interested in him this much?" Taehyung's voice dropped a octave below after this. "You really couldn't find anyone to fuck you after I'm gone??"

"SHUT UP!!"

As Taehyung expected, Jay exploded in anger. The guns started to go off again and most of it seemed to be aimed towards where Taehyung had taken cover.

Taehyung folded even further, trying to cover himself from all the bullets. Luckily, Bambam and others responded with their own and Taehyung was able to crawl to a different place.

"I think I got him. Near the south east. There seemed to be an exit." Jin's voice sounded urgent.

"What?! I thought we covered all the exits!"

"There's definitely one. There is a little movement there. But I don't have a clear shot."

"Ok. Let's move towards that guys, we don't wanna lose him."

Everyone seemed to be shifting, little by little, and that's when they heard the sound of a helicopter, rapidly approaching them.

"Fuck! Mark!" Bambam's voice could be heard even without the comm device as he yelled loudly.

"Yep, on it." Mark replied curtly.

Taehyung moved, inch by inch, under the cover fire provided by his teammates. He could see Hoseok doing the same. Others seemed to have realized this too as they held their positions and opted to cover those two.

Jay's men seemed to be unaware of it because soon Taehyung and Hoseok were out of the bullets' aim. They both got into a tactical position and prepared to engage.

"We're ready!" Taehyung whispered into the comm device, even though the chances of anyone hearing him was low due to all the commotion going around them.

Bambam made a sound of acknowledgement and got his team's attention before speaking in a commanding voice.

"Ok. On the count of three. One! Two! Three-"

Hoseok's pained yell could be heard even with all the noise that was going on. A bullet had pierced through his shoulders, nearly missing his heart.

"HOBI!!" Taehyung screamed as he tried to go to his friend.

And as he moved to his left a bit, another bullet lodged into the table behind him, right where his head would have been half a second ago.

But the scary thing was, that both those bullets didn't come from where Jay and his men were. Those came from the direction of Jin, their own sniper.
