"That is a whole lot of streamers," Lacey said, picking up one of the rolls of gold streamers from the table.
"And balloons," Zach added, examining a package of black balloons.
"I also like how you took the gold, white, and black theme to the decorations."
Donita smiled and clasped her hands.
"I'm so excited about this! I haven't hosted a party in so long. And this is a perfect opportunity to use my ballroom. I'm so glad I didn't paint it pink."
Donita had gotten ahead of herself, like she always does, and bought decorations before even setting a date and time.
Aviva told her once that Donita was planning a fashion event for some fashion designers and had completely set up the venue a whole day before. This was going to be like that.
"Do you know who you're going to invite?" Zach asked.
"Yes, I already have a list. We just need to choose a date and time and I can send out the invites. Also, these aren't all the decorations. These are just the ones I'm having Dabio put up. I'm having a few extra things delivered to my house."
Zach nodded and crossed his arms. "I like this plan. And it'll be at your house?"
"Yes, in my ballroom."
"Good, because my skyscraper is not made for parties of more than ten people."
"Yes, we're aware, Zach."Lacey awkwardly looked down at her feet and Donita clapped her hands before starting to put the supplies back into the pink designer bag she had brought them in.
"We can start to discuss dates and times if we want. Just so we can get that off our checklist."
"Yes, let's do that. And after that, Lacey and I have some animal inventing to do."
"Yeah, we want to turn giraffes into robots that can be controlled to get stuff off of high shelves. It looks like it's going to be a big hit," Lacey added, acting excited.
Donita nodded and sat down, pulling out that infamous notebook. She clicked open a pen and Zach and Lacey sat down across from her. This conference room was starting to become a new home with how much time she spent in it.
"I was thinking we could have it on a Friday night. People won't have to worry about the weekdays and can stay late into the night. It can be a night of fun and celebrating!"
"I like that. A warm July or August night of dancing and hanging out. Sounds super fun," Lacey said, clasping her hands together.
"Exactly! You get it!" Donita replied.
Lacey smiled and Donita pulled up a calendar on her phone.
"How about August first? A wonderful way to start off the month."
Zach and Lacey shared a look before nodding in agreement. Donita smiled and wrote that down.
"Sounds great! And what about times?"
"How about eight-thirty to midnight. Gives people time to hang out and they can leave early if they want," Zach suggested.
Donita nodded and wrote that down as well.
"Sounds perfect. I'll create invites and send them out. Then I'll start working on your dress and suit. This is going to be so much fun!"
Lacey smiled and nodded and Zach started flicking his hand at Donita.
"Since we have a date and time, you can leave. Lacey and I have important work to do."
Donita rolled her eyes and quickly packed up her stuff. Zach walked her out of the conference room and when she was finally gone, Zach sighed and closed the door. He then walked over to a drawer on the wall and pulled out an iPad and a stylus.
