I looked at my phone to see that it was only 5 in the morning.
"God I really need to get out if this room for a few minutes." I whined as I lift my hand to massage my aching forehead.
It's been 3 days since all of.... that happened. I still haven't really talked to Megumi nor Gojo. I heard Gojo went to see my brother. Don't really know what happened though since no one wants to tell me anything, and I can't really go talk to Suguru myself since I have no idea were he is and Gojo won't tell me.
After a few minutes I made it to the main kitchen and to my surprise, I find Megumi leaning his head on the table fast asleep. It didn't take long for him to sense my presence as his eyes fluttered open. He didn't try to talk to me though he just followed me with his eyes as I went to the fridge to grab a bottle of water. After chugging the water down I went straight outside for a smoke and some peace and quiet. But that didn't last long since I heard footsteps walking behind me.
He pulled a chair next to me now sitting down quietly. Him just sitting there was annoying me. Why did he have to do that?!?
"You want a cigarette or something?" I looked at him questioningly with a cig in my extended hand towards him.
"Naa." He took the cigarette out my hand and threw it away.
"Ok. Suit yourself." I pulled another one out before lighting it.
"Can we talk?" He asked almost desperately.
"You can. Won't promise I'll respond though." I kept looking at the river while smoking my life away.
"Did I do something wrong?" His voice was calm as he looked at me.
"...."
"Can you at least tell me what it is that I did?" He scooted over a bit closer as he leaned his head over to try and look at my face better.
"Megumi, stop" I looked away from him trying to get away but he placed his hand on my jaw before slowly turning my face to look at him.
"I can't fix something I don't know about Kels. Talk to me, please." He moved in closer to my face now leaning in and leaving a gentle kiss on my lips.
"Don't push me away" he tucked my hair behind my ear now holding my face with both of his hands. No. I can't fall for this again.
I gently pushed his hands away as I got up. I tried to look down at him as I got up from the chair but I had to look away again as tears threatened to leave my eyes. Without saying a word I walked back inside, leaving him behind.
I ended up back in my room but just as I went to close the curtains I saw Gojo leading some of the students back to the school. They all looked like they just came back from a good beating. I was going to go to sleep until I saw blood on Gojos hands and shirt.
What did they do?!
A few minutes later
Gojo walked in to his room to find me there waiting on his desk chair.
"Kelly?" He looked at me confused while closing the door behind him.
"What are you doing up? It's late go to sleep" he started walking over to his bed until I got up and walked right in front of him.
"Listen Kelly, I'm really not in a mood to talk right now. Can we talk tomorro-"
"What did you do?" I didn't give him enough time to talk. If what I'm thinking of happened then I want to know right now.
"I don't wa-"
"Gojo. What. Did. You. Do?" I was getting impatient.
"Nothing you have to know about for now Kelly." He tried to step away but I wasn't going to let him just yet.
"Why did you come back with blood all over you? Last time I checked, curses don't bleed."
"What do you think happened Kelly?" He was still trying to get away so I held him in front of me tighter.
"I don't know, that's why I'm ask-"
"You don't know? Or do you not want to believe it? Cause from the way you're acting I'm certain you know quite well what happened here." This time he didn't try to walk away. Instead he bend down closer to me. "Come on Kelly you're smart. You must have figured it out. Don't make me say it." He tried to seem cold but I could see how hurt he was. He's breaking inside little by little.
I widened my eyes at him as I tried to get a sentence out "did you- i-is he de-" but I couldn't say it.
He sighed as his eyes softened "I had to."
That's when I finally broke down. Tears were streaming down my face as I fell down to my knees. I couldn't breathe as I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out. Gojo bent down in front of me with tears in his eyes before hugging me close to him burying my face in his chest to not see the agony he was in. Right as I was able to catch a breath I let out the most pained scream my body could handle as I cried harder against Gojo. Everything I wasn't feeling before came crashing down on me and all I could do was scream my lungs out. The pain was too much to endure. My chest felt like it was tearing into two as I was starting to feel light headed. Gojo clearly noticed as he pulled me away from him a little while placing one hand under my chin to check my face.
"I- I can't take this anymore. It hurts so m-much" I looked up at him to see his eyes were bloodshot. And I knew he knew just what I was feeling. "I know baby. I know. But you gotta stay with me ok." He moved my hair out of my face before grabbing the water that was on his nightstand but right as he grabbed it I fell limb in his arms. He looked up trying to fight the tears back at the same time he stood up with me in his arms now walking over to his bed to place me down before pulling out his phone and calling Ieiri.
The next morning
I woke up to find myself in a different room. I turned over to find Gojo sleeping on the chair that he has in his room. Deciding that it's best to let him rest I tried to get up and leave which clearly didn't work when I heard a raspy voice from behind me.
"You're up." He slowly opened his eyes now starting to sit up in the uncomfortable chair.
"Yeah. I just woke up now." My low voice let out.
He sighed before speaking again "how are you feeling? I left some medicine and water for you there. You should take does."
"Thankyou" I went back to the bedside table to take them before looking back at Gojo "it won't kill me yet. What about you?"
"I'll cope. Come on let's get something to eat then." He stood up now walking over to the door and holding it open for me to walk through.
"Thanks"
The kitchen was empty. Just me and Gojo eating the first thing we found. I went straight back to bed after. I wasn't in the mood for anything other than sleep.
Megumi's pov
I walked in the kitchen to find Gojo sitting down with his head leaned down on the table holding it up with one hand.
"Hey" I let out to not be rude.
He looked up at me before nodding. I walked over pulling a the chair that's opposite to his before sitting down.
"How you holding up?" I asked tiredly.
"You know?" He looked at me surprised for a second, then remember that the others knew as well.
"Yeah. I heard your conversation. Then went over to pandas room. He explained everything." I explained while tapping my finger on the table to not have to look at him.
"Why are you here with me then? You're not going to check up on her?"
"I just tried. She said she's not in the mood to talk. She's been pushing me away for days. I don't know what to do." I placed both of my hands on the table to hold my head up.
"Give her some time. She just lost a lot in a very short time." He tried to comfort me but from the looks of it he couldn't really focus on what I was saying. I took that as my time to leave. He needed some time to himself. He always does after something like this happens.
"I'll be in my room if you need anything." Thats the last thing I said before leaving back to my room.
