Can We Go Back? [ Megumi Fushiguro ]

Chapter 2

I woke up to the bright sunlight streams golden through the window in a well mannered announcement of the risen sun. Light of the bright orb that floats in the sky shining on- "AHHHHH!"

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" I looked at my window to see a black tall figure standing right in-front of it.

"Good morning" the figure spoke.

I tried to squint my eyes to see exactly who was just standing in-front of my window at 6am.

"Suguru?"

"Ding ding dinggg!!!" Moving closer to my bed I could see Suguru's face with a big smug smile looking straight into my soul.

"Dude get out, it's too early" I groaned while covering my eyes as I turned around to try and get away from the weird man that's in my room, For some reason...

"Well you kinda might want to get up soon, Or else you're gonna miss breakfast, and we both know you can't make it yourself sis" Suguru looked at me one more time with that creepy smile still plastered on his face before placing his hands in his pockets while....walking out of my room?

Why does he walk like that? He really thinks he owns the place?

"Oh, hey Megumi" Suguru walked to the side to let Megumi in then walked out right after.

"Didn't know I was living in an open house. Don't worry just walk right-"

"I brought you breakfast" Megumi cut me of as he placed a plate of food on my bed and a glass of water on my nightstand.

"Who's paying you to do this?" I asked sceptically as I looked from him to the plate and back to him.

"I just didn't want you to be a hangry bitch all day so, eat" Megumi leaned on my wall with his hands in his pockets while now looking down at the floor.

Grabbing the plate as if it's going to run away from me I dived straight into eating my breakfast now finishing it in a few minutes. Going to grab my water I point my finger into the glass creating little ice blocks to make it colder before mumbling a quick "Thank you" towards the man that's just standing there.

"Mhmm, Anyways. You feel like you can walk yet?" Megumi directed his gaze to my injured knee.

"Yeah, but I'm staying off missions for a while. I don't think I should take on another one just yet. Not when I'm still this useless."

"At least you're self aware. That's progress." I looked up at Megumi with an offended look. He just shrugged before stepping away from the wall to walk closer to me.

"You should probably train more before you try to kill yourself in another mission. Clearly you need it. Ask Gojo, he might want to help, or your brother"

"As if they have time for me anymore. They're always fucking around or on missions now that they're 'the strongest'." I rolled my eyes at the last sentence. Flashbacks of what life was like before all of this flashed through my mind. Of how much I needed Suguru and he was always there to help me with everything. It's different now. He's still there for me and I can see that he tries his best to not make me feel abandoned by him too, But with all the missions and everything, we don't spend as much time together anymore.

"Hey, stop overthinking. You're gonna fry your brain." Coming back to my senses I look up to see Megumi much closer to me now.

"I'm not. You have anything to do today? Any missions?" I asked him now trying to change the subject as I layed back down in my bed.

"Naa just some training to try and figure some things out. What about you?" He came closer to my bed and sat down on the edge.

"What about me?" I looked at him confused.

"You're gonna lay in here all day? You don't want to go out?" He raised one eyebrow at me as he turned around a little more to face me.

"I'll try to work on my techniques or something... I guess. I don't know. It's not like I really know anything about it. All I know is that I can make ice cubes. Maybe I can make weapons like shards? I don't know." I mumbled as I looked down to my hands in disappointment at myself.

"It looks like it. Don't think too much about it, you still have plenty of time." He pats my leg reassuringly as if to tell me that it's going to be fine. "Wanna come with? We can help each other." He got up now before looking back down at me as he extended his hand out for me to grab onto.

"Yeah" I take his hand while I got out of bed and followed him out of my room and into the training rooms.

"Ok so, I wanted to show you this. I got it a few days ago but didn't have the time to show you yet. It's pretty cool, I think" He holds his hands together in the shape of a bird before he yells Nue.

"WOAH DUDE!" I backed away a little as a huge owl?.... bird? Came into the room. "THAT'S SO COOL!" I looked over to Megumi with my mouth wide open before walking closer to it slowly as I inspect the giant bird.

"Took me a little while to get it, but it was worth it. It can fly us anywhere." He smiled at me as I was still fascinated by his shikigami.

"Woah. OH I ALMOST FORGOT! Look. I also wanted to show you something" I held my finger out as a slightly bigger than before ice cube formed at the tip of my finger. I looked at Megumi now with my face covered with joy. "It's bigger than before!"

"It is. See you're improving!" He smiled at me giving me an I'm proud of you look.

"Slowly-"

"It's better than nothing" he walked closer to me as he put his hand on my shoulder. "Come on let's train for a bit".
