Xiomara's POV •I apparently did so good that I took up two other's girls spots. I was late to go into the dressing room when I felt somebody's glare on my back. Almost everybody was gone save Jen and another girl.
I ignored the feeling and peeled myself out of my sweaty clothes. Three outfit changes could do that to a girl. I wiped off all my makeup and switched into something more comfortable. I put on some boxers, some sweatpants, and a grey anime shirt. I was making sure I had everything and chatting it up with Jen when someone tapped my shoulder.
"Yeah, can I help-
I felt something hard hit me in the face. I brought my hands up but it felt like a million tons was slamming into me, over and over again. "Please, please," I tried to scream out.
"X!" I could hear Jen yelling. "Somebody help her!"
I finally sensed an opening to get up and fight back. I kicked my attacker in the knee, pulled myself up and started punching. I barely caught a glimpse of the girl's face before she ran off. She darted out of the dressing room just as Regina ran in.
"What happened in here?"
I could feel my face swelling and I turned to the mirror. I looked pretty bad but I'm sure I'd be even worse tomorrow. "Someone attacked Xiomara," Jen said. The other girl in the locker room told Regina what happened. They explained how they tried to peel the girl off of me but she was too strong.
Regina was furious and trying to get somebody to check the parking lot and the cameras. Something caught my eye as I sat down on the bench to collect myself emotionally. First day back and I was already going through hell. It had been a miracle that Aunt Nicole was able to take Zabelle when Regina had called me and offered me the job. Indigo's blocked me on everything. She's removed me from the group chat for her employees, and she's taken me out of her bio. I didn't have a choice but to take Regina's offer no matter how much I now despised her for taking Natille's side.
At least I'll have this and the tutoring to fall back on, even if there's a possibility I'll be in danger here.
For Zabelle. I have to.
I pick up phone on the floor and the screen lights up.
"I know who it was," I say, blood dripping from my mouth that I didn't even know about. I swipe it away with the back of my hand, like Zabelle does when she has a snotty nose.
I hold up the phone and show the security, the dancers, and Regina the Lock Screen showcasing my attacker and Natille.
Natille's POV •
We're a long way from the club but Liviya keeps glancing in the rear view mirror. "Liviya, what happened to your fists? And what's wrong with you? What did you go do?" I ask for the millionth time.
I'm swaddled up in my jacket that's oddly covered in black spots that resembles smeared eyeliner.
"Don't worry about it, Nat. It's for your own good," she growls.
"I'll jump out this car right now if you don't tell me," I threaten, pushing the unlock button.
"Hey!" the driver yelled, his voice thick with a foreign accent.
"Sorry sir, my hand slipped," I call out, then shoot Liv a look of warning.
"I- I fought Regina." She turned her face away from me, rubbing her hands over each other. "That's why I came running out to the Uber. Plus I didn't wanna make the driver wait," she shrugged. I believed Liv, but I still felt uneasy. Maybe it was her nerves that was getting to me.
