The third thing Wooyoung specifically wanted to do with San after desecrating his home was to introduce San to Yongguk and Seungyoun. Seungyoun had blown up Wooyoung's phone with messages these past few days, asking for details about being with San and if everything was alright with Wooyoung's shoulder.
Wooyoung's arm was so alright he forgot on most days it was still in its healing process. He replied to Seungyoun's fretting with curt responses; promising more answers once they found the time to sit down together and catch up.
Seungyoun was thrilled to meet San in person. Yongguk not so much. A certain bitterness still lingered in his reaction when Wooyoung suggested bringing San with him to work the next day. Whether it was out of the grumpiness about the collective dread coming with San's death and Wooyoung's risky trips or whether he didn't trust the immortal remained a mystery. Wooyoung was dead-set on resolving the issue so the two of them could become better friends. Since he owed Yongguk another apology, he might as well bring San along to show it had been worth the anxiety of getting him back.
Yongguk wouldn't be able to be mad if he saw how overjoyed Wooyoung was about his plan succeeding and San being with him.
The morning the two of them would visit the institute together, Wooyoung drew out some of his good clothes from the closet to give to San. They were still unsure about their living arrangements. San had his current home in the Netherlands, where he enjoyed the healing atmosphere of lavender fields and windmills on his tortured soul. He could tell his kind landlord anytime to send his things their way since he wouldn't return soon.
Wooyoung doubted the two of them would need to find a flat for San to live in around Prague. Both of them were glued to each other, so he might as well stay with Wooyoung.
Until his clothes arrived, Wooyoung was happy to lend him his things.
San didn't fit in Wooyoung's suit jacket, but he fitted in his shirt and pants. With a coat in tow, Wooyoung's boyfriend looked casually impeccable. They linked their arms as Wooyoung skipped down the stairs and out into the street. He wondered if his neighbours would see him and be glad he didn't trudge out of his house lonely and fatigued for once. His regular monotonous life had got much more interesting with San by his side.
"I can't wait to show you everything. We have a museum in our building, so you can review many historical finds there. And you can pick out any book you want from our library to study anything you might want deepen your wisdom about or that you are missing," Wooyoung told him as they walked down the street. San drank up his excitement with a smile, hearts in his eyes.
"I went there when I went to see you but I only saw the foyer so far," San agreed, just as intrigued by Wooyoung's working place. At the mention of it, Wooyoung tilted his head. The story of how San had ended up with Yongguk at the hospital got drowned out by their reunion, so Wooyoung had yet to hear it.
"How did that go?"
San led Wooyoung around another passerby with an elegant draw on his arm. Sticking close together, they wandered streets that didn't care for their love for each other for the first time in two thousand years.
"The time of waiting until you would reach the point in your life where you saw me in the past and became my lover was the hardest. Since your older card said to meet you in January, it was hard to guess when the time of me seeing you wouldn't cross into your work on my survival anymore. Worry about what happened to you after that shot choked me up years before it actually happened," San described. Wooyoung could imagine it. If he had met Wooyoung as a child, Wooyoung wouldn't have known what to do with him, just how San wouldn't know if Wooyoung visited him before Babylon and declared their love to him. Time could be a cruel, unmoving companion when most demanded.
