After their trip through the exhibition and Seungyoun explaining to San what all the items were and San explaining to Seungyoun in return what he knew about those items, the group made plans to go out and have dinner together. After a long day of trudging alongside Yongguk, Wooyoung got to latch onto San again while Seungyoun and Yongguk grouped up to decide on dinner plans. Now that it was warm enough to sit outside in the spring sun, Seungyoun insisted on introducing San to his favourite restaurant near the riverside.
While Yongguk fetched the leftover files that he wanted to take home, the other three boys idled in the foyer. Seungyoun watched the bickering and the affectionate touches going on between the couple with soft eyes.
"What did you two decide to do? Will you stay here in Prague?" Seungyoun asked. In the distance, Yongguk locked up his office and fiddled with his documents. Wooyoung glanced up at San to search his face for an answer. At the same time, the man lowered his eyes from Seungyoun to Wooyoung.
"We discussed going to Italy to visit Florence and perhaps meet my parents. Are you interested in that?" Wooyoung asked. His arm around San's narrow waist held the other man close. It was the fourth thing Wooyoung had promised himself to do once San was here. Or rather, the fourth and fifth. To visit the street near Florence leading to the ocean that they had discussed so many years ago, and to have San meet Wooyoung's parents.
He knew they would absolutely adore San and in hindsight; he was glad that he had come up with excuses about his accident; claiming it had nothing to do with his dead, immortal boyfriend.
"I would love to. I've been hearing a lot from your brother these days," San beamed. Seungyoun cooed over his dimples.
With Yongguk in the lead, they all followed the man outside to pile into his car. Wooyoung and San got to sit in the back and hold hands. In the minutes of boredom, San unwrapped the gift to peer inside the box and see what Yongguk had gifted them. They were two vouchers for aeroplane tickets to any place in the world they wanted to go, whatever they picked. Wooyoung had teared up at the idea of going to the Caribbean and seeing San wandering the beach in a loose white shirt fluttering in the wind as if he were a pirate again. Both boys had thanked Yongguk profusely while he waved it off.
They had dinner, as all four of them. Conversation flowed smoothly and no more fury carried in Yongguk's voice as he made his scarce comments. San let his charms play as always, and by the end of the dinner, it felt as if he was closer with Wooyoung's coworkers than Wooyoung was himself after several years of working with them.
Yongguk also told them he had concluded the project of immortality. He had told the people in the medical industry waiting for their reply that so far; they had found nothing worth trying out in the past and that the answer was elsewhere. San hadn't got mentioned with a word, and the immortal looked glad about it. Now that they knew it took an immortal to die to create a new one, they wouldn't sacrifice San at any price.
After the successful evening with all of Wooyoung's precious people there, Wooyoung and San went home together. Fuzzy from the wine and their love, they pulled their shirts off each other while they still stumbled through the corridor, only to land on the bed with no more worries but each other's bodies for the evening.
By the time they woke for yet another morning in bed where they just talked and cuddled, Wooyoung brought up the topic again.
"We can go this weekend. I always travel by train since it's the fastest. We could meet my parents by tomorrow and be in Florence the day after," Wooyoung muttered into San's chest. The man hummed; his eyes locked on the picture on Wooyoung's nightstand. If they visited the same church again, what would it look like? Was it famous for being a place Leonardo had worked in?
