Tolveck loomed over the apartment complex that Haley lived in. Tolveck carefully set his hand next to a balcony which led to Haley's room. Carter cautiously crawled off the hand onto the balcony. He turned to Tolveck and back to the glass sliding door.
Carter could see Haley's desk lit up with a little lamp, a laptop was on and rested to the left. Haley sat on her chair which was positioned in the far left of the room. She spun around slowly, bitting a pen unknowingly in thought. Carter gently knocked on the glass three times, just like he always did but on an actual door. Haley quickly turned around and was surprised to see Carter on the balcony. She got up and opened the door.
"Wanna go on a walk?" Carter asked a bit sheepishly.
"Um... how did you geeee-" Haley took a couple involuntary steps back into the house, waving at the giant. Carter turned around to see what she was staring at, Tolveck. "H-hi"
Tolveck waved back, Carter smiled at him. "So, yeah. Wanna join?" Haley looked back at Carter.
"The hell kinda question is that? Of course I do, just, we got a problem..." Haley motioned to the living room, where her friends were staying up all night.
"We'll be fiinnee." Carter replied with. Tolveck gave him a confused look.
"What will be fine? I can't hear a thing that you guys are saying." Tolveck whispered down to them.
"Don't worry bud, we're ready to go." Carter sat on the railing, Tolveck raised his eyebrow at him, Haley stepped out of the house and nodded to him. Carter climbed on with out hesitating, Haley however took a little convincing. She eventually hopped on and the trio began their adventure.
Tolveck lightly strode through the city, he was nearing the outskirts. He looked down to his hand, Carter had fallen asleep due to the soothing thumps and sways of Tolveck's walking, while Haley was awake. Tolveck gave her a warming smile, she returned the favour.
They must have been walking for half an hour now. About ten minutes ago, Tolveck had entered an abandoned massive forest. He was pretty deep into it. The trees were probably another head size taller than Tolveck, but that didn't stop them. They eventually came across a nice big open area, the stars twinkling above them. Tolveck set the two down and sat a bit away, as not to cause a massive tremor for them, and gazed at the scene in front of him.
Carter and Haley headed over to him and laid close to his hand. Carter climbed up onto his chest for warmth, Haley laid back and admired the trees. Carter snuggled up against Tolveck's shirt, wrapped in the warm radiating off of Tolveck's massive chest. Haley just, kinda, wanted to snuggle up but it would be pretty awkward.
"Beautiful isn't it?..." Tolveck whispered as quiet as he could, the Russian accent just slightly poking through. Carter was nearly asleep in his lap. He felt him nod.
"I- I miss nights like these... the cool breeze, the stars in the swirling night sky." Haley half-yelled up to him. Tolveck nodded in agreement.
The owls hooted deep in the forest, the crickets chirping in the rustling grass, the whistle of the wind through the trees, a sweet, quiet humming that arose from Haley. The nightly symphony, or that's what Tolveck called it.
"Alone, at the edge of a universe humming a tune, for merely dreaming we were snow." Tolveck started. Haley continued, but a tad bit louder. "A siren sounds, like a goddess who promises endless apologise of paradise, and only she can make it right."
"Ooooh ooooh~"
"We'll go together in flight," Tolveck smiled at the song, he heard Haley laugh at the song. 'Dream sweet in Sea Major' by Miracle Musical, her favourite song. She never knew Tolveck knew it. Haley gave out a massive yawn.
"Tired, wanna ride back home?" Tolveck asked quietly. She nodded. He gently scooped her up, with her permission, and rode home carrying the two. Haley looked at the vast landscape speeding past her by one step forward. Amazing. She heard Tolveck quietly humming the song from before above her.
Believe me darling, the stars were made for falling
