Ch9

Carter pulled up into the shopping malls parking lot. Julian and Haley hopped out and Carter hesitantly turned off the ignition. Julian laid against the car while Haley went to greet her friends. Carter finally got out of the car and stood next to Julian.
Haleys friends came over, the tallest one held his hand out to Carter.
"Hi, I'm Blaze, this here is 'F'." He said. His bright gold eyes catching Carters attention. He motioned to the person cowering behind him.
"Hello, I'm Carter." He nodded to both of them. Carter took a deep breath and glanced at Haley. She was jumping for joy knowing what would happen. "So how did you guys meet?" He asked. Blaze smiled over at Haley.
"She walked in on me with F at their apartment." Blaze said confidently. Carters face went blank.
"Sorry, what?"
"You didn't tell him did you?" Blaze said to Haley. She shook her head. He looked back to Carter. "It's not what you think."
"And how did you two meet?" Carter dared to ask.
"He leaped off a cliff." F spoke up. They smiled at the memory. Carter just took one step away. "Well, we actually met at a job." They reassured. F took a step forward. Haley walked over beside Carter. Julian began to get interested.
"Do you know why you're here?" Julian asked. Blaze shook his head.
"Haley just told us that she had a suprize for us." He replied. Julian took it as a reply and hopped in.
"W-where's your car?" Carter asked confused.
"We ran, took us about five minutes." Blaze replied.
"You guys can ride with us if you want..." Carter offered. Blaze accepted and they hopped in. It was starting to get dark outside and the sudden rain fall looked like a galaxy in the headlights.
"So where do you guys live?" Julian asked. Carter drove upfront and Haley was in shotgun. F decided to take this question.
"About a half an hour drive from here." They replied. Carter glanced at them in the mirror with a confused look. Blaze laughed at the look. Julian joined in, looks like they share a sense of humour.
"So Haley, why are we all gathered here?" Blaze said once he calmed down. Haley wiggled in her seat, excitement flooded her veins.
"You both share a similar secret!" She blurted finally. Blaze and Carter gave her a confused look. Julian and F didn't really care all to much.
"WhAt!?" Blaze yelled. His voice contorted in confusion.
Carter nodded. "Agreed, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT." Carter said sternly.
Haley smiled at the two. "Blaze, wait outside by the barn, Carter, get Tolveck." She said, both still confused.
'Um, sorry to butt in, but what do I do?"F asked from behind.
"Depends, wanna meet another friend of ours?" Haley asked. F hesitantly shook their head. "Your choice." Haley said as she turned into her seat. "Either way you'll be glad you met him."
Blaze and F looked at each other confused. F shrugged and Blaze silently panicked. Julian just contently looked put the window.
They all pulled up into the driveway of the farm house and all got out of the car. Carter told them to stay out or come in if they wanted. He entered the building, Tolveck laid against the wall. Carter smiled at the peaceful look on his face. He walked up to Tolvecks rested hand.
"Hey, Tolveck." No reply. He stomped his foot, "TOLVECK!" Carter yelled up to him. The giants eyes fluttered open. He looked down at his hand, he smiled at seeing Carter.
"H-*yawn* hello Carter." He said slow and sleepy. Carter smiled up, but began pacing. "Oh! Are they here?" He asked.
"Yea, outside. Haley thinks we should head out there." Carter shifted in his palm. Tolveck nodded in his dazed state. He quickly shook any thoughts away and slapped himself awake. Carter held on for dear life as Tolveck moved. Once he stopped he relaxed.
Carter hopped off his hand and looked up. "You ready?"
Tolveck nodded.
Carter went outside and explained how this was gonna happen, leaving out the giant part, and had everyone stay put while he went to  open the gate. Blaze snuck around the corner to watch.
Tolveck watched as the door creeped open. Carter stood outside smiling wildly now, and behind him, a confused and terrified Blaze.
Tolveck shrunk backwards into the building. Carter looked behind him, Blaze stood, a slightly scared look on his face, he took a couple steps forward. Carter stood in shock as Blaze nodded to Tolveck and stepped closer.
"Damn, you are like me." Blaze spoke.
