Your P.O.V.
We walk into a dark room with a table of potions in the center, and a scroll in front of those.
The potions are lined up—from left to right—like this: gold, red, light blue, honey-coloured, green, black, and purple.
"Oh joy. My worst subject," Harry grumbles.
"Relax, Potter," I say playfully. "You forget you have a genius to solve this for—"
Flames appearing at each doorway interrupt my sentence. The ones behind us are purple and the ones in front of us are black.
"Well that throws a wrench into things," I grumble.
"Relax, Weasley," Harry mocks. "You forget you have a genius to solve this."
"Don't get a big head."
"Sorry, your head gets bigger the smarter you are."
"You're truly the most annoying person I've ever met."
"Just shut up and read the scroll."
"Just shut up and let me read!"
"Make me," Harry says confidently.
I can feel myself involuntarily going red, and I'm about to scream at him but I think it'll be more fun to play his little game. He's going to pay for that one.
"Alright."
I walk closer and put my hands on his shoulders, pulling him closer with our bodies touching and our faces inches apart.
"Hey," Harry whispers.
"Hello, Potter," I say, matching his volume, my stomach doing some very interesting acrobatics.
"So, erm, you going to make me shut up?" Harry asks nervously.
Where's that confidence now, Potter?
"Yes I am."
I bring my hand up to his forehead, pretending to brush away his hair and then quickly change course and slap him directly across the face. I then push him away roughly and stomp on his foot.
"Ow! That hurts, (y/n)!"
"You deserve it!" I say angrily. "I'm eleven for crying out loud! You're eleven for crying out louder!"
"Alright, alright! Sorry! I was only joking! Please don't hurt me!" he whimpers.
"Believe me, I have half a mind to strangle you," I grumble. "But then Moldy Voldy won't get to have any fun, so you live. Now about that riddle..."
I pick up the scroll and unfurl it.
"Okay... um... 'Danger lies before you, while safety lies behind.' Yeah, no shit.
'Two of us will help you, whichever you would find. One among us seven will let you move ahead. Another will transport the drinker back instead. Two among our number hold only nettle wine. Three of us are killers, waiting hidden in line. Choose, unless you wish to stay here for evermore. To help you in your choice, we give you these clues four:
First, however slyly the poison tries to hide, you will always find some on nettle wine's left side;
Second, different are those who stand at either end, but if you would move onwards neither is your friend;
Third, as you see clearly, all are different size, neither dwarf nor giant holds death in their insides;
Fourth, the second left and the second on the right are twins once you taste them, though different at first sight.'"
