"First off, you need to fix that posture of yours."

The girls name was Koyuki, Nezuko wrote. She was a very sweet girl, though she never told me about her relationship with Master, she did say she was a student but never talked to much about herself.

She was a wonderful teacher though. Unlike Master Keizo, Koyuki explained everything deeply, and if I didn't understand she would continue to give more detail in a simplier way so that I could.

"The reason you're getting winded so quickly is because you have bad breath control. You need to learn the Total Concentration Breathing, your blood circulation accelerates because your heart rate is faster than normal, that allows your body temperature to spike as well, which allows a human to fight with the strength of a demon. You need to expand your lung compacity, your bones and muscles will get excited with the amount of blood and oxygen you're letting in." Koyuki spoke with a finger on her chin.

"So how do I do that?" Nezuko asked.

Koyuki smiled, "Train until it kills you, because at the end of the day there's nothing else to it."

She was far too happy to be talking about training to death, Nezuko thought.

Sometimes Koyuki would stare off in the direction of the dojo, Nezuko noticed rather quickly she was a bit spacey- though of course Nezuko couldn't talk. Now the two sat on the grass, leaning against a tree, taking a quick break before returning to work.

"Koyuki?" Nezuko waved a hand in front of her friend's face. "Heeellllooooo?

"What-?" the older girl was startled out of her thoughts. "Oh, I'm sorry Nezuko, what did you say?"

"I was asking how long you trained, you're really skilled so it must have been a really long time."

Koyuki chuckled nervously, "oh um, well it took a very long time. Though Nezuko you learn a lot faster than I do so I'm sure you'll take half the time it took me to learn."

Nezuko smiled, bringing her knees up to her chest and resting her head down. "I'm just not sure if I can do this."

"No, Nezuko-" Koyuki was quick to start reassuring her. "You are such a fast learner, and maybe a sword won't be your specialty, but your kicks are the best I've ever seen. Besides you'll always have your brother, right? If you ever need a shoulder to lean on, you'll have him."

"I guess," Nezuko sighed. It was true, she did have Tanjiro and he had never let her down before, so why would he start now, right? "Yeah, besides if things get really bad, I'll always beat my enemy the old-fashioned way."

Nezuko slammed her fists together and the two chuckled.

Koyuki pointed out everything she did wrong, everything she could improve on and showed her how. But for the next three months, almost nothing changed, Nezuko still couldn't beat Koyuki. It was always over sooner than she wanted.

But that changed.

Six months after she began her mission to cut the boulder was a faceoff with Koyuki. This time she had a real sword.

"Let's see what you can do, three months later," Koyuki's face was serious.

The fight was over before it began. The two moved at the same time, but Nezuko's blade reached first.

Of course, it didn't actually hit her, but it came down very inches from her face. Koyuki saw that as a sign that Nezuko was ready. She gave the younger girl a sad smile before she faded and suddenly, she was gone. Koyuki disappeared, leaving Nezuko wide eyed at what stood before her.
