The cat or whatever he is had been missing for two days now.
Y/N had searched out for him everywhere and even as she cried out for hours, he didn't turn up. In order to be sure that he really became a human, she sought out the landlord's CCTV camera, the one facing the stairs.
She doesn't say why she needed to check some footage at a specific time. All she said that she's nervous a sasaeng might've followed her brother there, so she was let in the security office room and her mind had never been at rest since that boy had run away, only solidifying her thoughts that the kitten and the strange boy were the same.
As a solid evidence before her eyes, she had seen him in the footage when the computer showed the selections and then she was met with a view of a boy shifting back into a frightened little white kitten.
After finding this out, she deleted the video and studied through multiple searches at the Internet to try and deciper what was happening to this boy, only to came up empty-handed with even the science having no record of this case.
Leaving her only conclusion that he was otherworldly or that magic in this world was suddenly not just a work of imagination.
But with the rising curiousity came the prickling sense of worry. He had not returned even if she searched most of the day for him in the neighborhood.
It was the third night of her waiting for the cat boy to return when she came up to the rooftop of her apartment and prepared herself a late night coffee just in case her land lord or any of the neighbors call after she asked around if they'd seen a cat.
She looked out on the city through her perch in a plastic chair up there and admired the glowing yellow and orange light from the sun setting down for the day.
It was the highest apartment building in that area where there was nothing obscuring the view and the cars below appeared like an ants along the people in the sidewalk.
"Where would I find you, wonnie? Did you already get home? I just need some sign to make sure that you're already safe", Y/N muttered to herself and hating herself for still not finding the cat.
Only the small stars starting to appear above answered with their glinting light. Their spark reminded her of his eyes.
"I would die of worry -", she halted when a small shuffling noise made itself known somewhere in the distance behind her.
Getting to her feet, she squinted her eyes in the darkness, "Woojin?", she called out to the name of the occupant of the house in the rooftop, setting her cup down and check if he really was there.
