"Girl, I can't believe your dad really rented out a car for us and paid for this expensive venue for your dinner!" Kristen, Audrey's friend expressed as the car stopped.
Audrey was Y/N and Drake's daughter who would be celebrating her 16th birthday tonight with some friends and family. Her dad had organised everything, just as she asked, but everything exceeded her expectations. Her mother ended up agreeing to it because of the hectic year Audrey had at school. Y/N thought her daughter could do with something special for her special day but didn't know what she was in for.
Y/N and Drake broke up a while ago and their coparenting wasn't always the best because of the fights and constant disagreements they had, but they did try to keep everything cordial. They agreed that Drake would keep her updated about everything and she would be coming later to the location.
The doors opened and the mini entourage consisting of more friends and family stood outside the car, waiting for Audrey and her two closest friends to step out. They cheered and took pictures once she came out and she immediately ran into her father's open arms for a heartfelt hug.
"Happy birthday princess!" Drake said as he kissed her on her forehead.
"Are you kidding me?! Daddy you went above and beyond, thank you!" She exclaimed as she excitedly jumped in his arms, making him smile.
The crowd walked into the restaurant that been booked out especially for them and settled down as they were handed some refreshments.

About an hour later, Y/N made her way into the venue and greeted everyone before heading to the birthday girl and her father, who had been dancing together, along with others on the dance floor.
"Happy birthday baby!" Y/N excitedly said as Audrey pulled her into a hug. Y/N playfully rolled her eyes at the fact that they were the same height.
"Thank you mama! I hope you didn't forget my gift..." Audrey teased.
"Of course not girl, but we're gonna have to wait until it's time for you to open everything."
"Alright, imma head to my friends, see you in a bit." Audrey said before kissing her mother on the cheek.
"Hey." Y/N awkwardly said at Drake, not knowing whether to hug him or not.
"Hi. You look... you look great." He complimented as he sipped on his drink.
"Thank you. This is quite extravagant, don't you think?"
He let out a dry chuckle as if he could sense an argument, "Anything for my A-Boogie. Everyone seems to be enjoying it."
"It's only her sweet sixteen, I wonder what you're gonna do for her 18th or 21st."
"Probably get her a car."
"Hmm." Y/N pettily said.
"Why are you always like this?" Drake asked as Y/N sat on the bar stool, ordering her drink.
"Like what?" She asked back, catching a slight attitude.
