Paradise is over the horizon
A trail of glitter leads towards the unknown land
What marvels could thou hold
My senses feel nothing but curiosity
To venture off into the vast unknown
The elders would not approve
The thought of all the negativity vanishes
The splendor that the land may hold
Leaves me yearning for its touch
Off I go into the wonderland
To look back was out of the question
Every step I take
Makes my ecstatic body tremble
Fairies, pixies, dwarfs all around
Do they know of my world?
The trees are evergreen
The flowers are of different shades
I look about and discover a cottage
I should know better than to trespass
But I have broken dozens of rules already
I enter without hesitation
My hopes are shattered
Just a plain and dull room
All at once my dreams did not even matter
What a familiar feeling of doom
A stabbing pain of disappointment
Something I knew all too well
I should have known better than to be deceived
Inside a land of make believe
