Fall From Grace

From down below you see his wings
As they slowly tear from his porcelain skin
He looks up to where he used to belong
An angel of light who has chosen wrong

He never expected that a single mistake
A wrong turn in the path would seal his fate
He take one last glance at his once safe haven
Then walks away to live a life forsaken

He keeps his head bowed down
As he walks through the unfamiliar town
Strangers stare at his bewildering scar
In place of his wings that took him far

The world passes by in a kaleidoscope
Colors of black and white draining his hope
He has lost his nobility and his honor
His weak legs could go no farther

Thunder bellows from up above the ground
A confused crowd of people look from left to right
Others run to every corner to cower in fright
For the lost light will never be found

The soon forgotten light left without a trace
Lurking in the dark unknown
Never to be seen by the almighty throne
For he had fallen from grace
