She is not supposed to be here.
"I just know I could trust you and your fashion sense. The dress is very elegant!"
"Why, thank you, Mrs. Yu. It's my pleasure."
She is not supposed to be with her Mom right now, nor with these people that she doesn't even want to see.
"Are you okay?" The man in front of her asked.
She sighed, "I'm fine, Sunghoon."
She was supposed to be inside Winter's embrace. She was supposed to hug Winter tight and tell her how much she nailed that mini concert. She was supposed to be with the singer.
She wants to be with the singer.
But here she is, sitting at the dining table with her Mom and Sunghoon, along with Sunghoon's Mom.
"Sweetie…"
Karina turned to look at her mother who suddenly called her.
"Why are you not eating your food? Does it taste bad?"
"No, Mom." Karina muttered, gripping on her spoon tightly. "I just…I just don't feel like eating."
Is this the reason? Is this the reason why her Mom suddenly wanted her to come home?
Just to be a part of this dinner that she doesn't even care about?
"Are you not feeling well?" Sunghoon spoke.
Karina didn't even bother to look at him.
"I said I'm fine."
She's annoyed. Really annoyed.
She could've been spending this night with Winter.
But she just had to be here.
She just had to call the singer to tell her that she can't go backstage because her Mom wanted her to come home.
She just had to hear the disappointment in Winter's voice.
She just fucking had to ruin the night for the both of them.
"Are you sure, Karina? You look…tired." Mrs. Park said while looking at her.
Karina, right then and there, just wanted to roll her eyes.
The Park's haven't done anything rude to make her mad.
But she is mad, because they are the reason why she's here.
"Actually…" Karina placed her utensils down. "Yeah, I think I am tired."
She is still trying to sound respectful as much as she can.
"Did that mini concert tire you this much?" Tiffany worryingly asked. "Maybe you shouldn't have gone there."
'…What?'
"I just need sleep, Mom." Karina stood up from her seat. "Can I go to my room now?"
"Sure, sweetie. Rest well, okay?"
"Have a good night, Karina." Sunghoon smiled at her.
Karina couldn't even lift her lips up for a smile.
She just nodded at him and said goodnight to the others before quietly walking upstairs.
'Shouldn't have gone there?'
