A/N: Filler chapter!
I really feel like rewriting this whole book better
and I also changed my writing style but I want to keep the flow of the book steady, so I have to switch between writing styles and it's just painful send helpAnyway, go read Adapt or something. xx ♡
Thinking of tying this au with Adapt's au. I'll try doing that in the last few chapters of this book and when I rewrite it I'll decide if I'll make a prequel or keep the original idea about linking the books. (:

The two boys woke up late that day. Muichiro actually woke up first, but he stayed there for around an hour before finally waking up Y/N. He wanted to hold the shorter forever, but his stomach was disagreeing, so he had to shake the latter awake in order for them to have breakfast. "Morning." They heard Yoriichi call out to them as they entered the kitchen to eat some cereal. "Morning.." The sapphire mumbled as he walked past his uncle. "Ohaiyo.." The e/c boy said as he sat down on a chair in front the small table the kitchen was provided with. The middle-aged man watched as Muichiro pulled out two bowls and two spoons. He went over to grab the milk and cereal for him, to which the ravenette muttered a small 'thank you'. Once the two were set, they started eating and finished pretty fast as well.
Y/N pulled out his phone from his pocket and looked at the time. "Hey, in 2 hours we are supposed to meet up with the others." The (h/c)ette informed as he looked back up at his friend, who was already staring right at him. "Cool. Anyway, do you want to play Animal Crossing with me?" Muichito suddenly asked, pulling out his Nintendo Switch. The other boy's eyes lip up as he moved closer. The two played Animal Crossing until they had to go, since they were already clothed. They put on their shoes and left the house after letting Yoriichi know where they were headed. They didn't walk for too long to end up reaching the pizza place they agreed on meeting up at. It was actually a Domino's since everyone liked the pizza there (if you don't then get out).
They ordered a big pizza for the 5 of them and immediately got to work, each pulling out the information they had gathered- well, except from Inosuke. They discussed over the two very similar topics and wrote down things each group could include to use as relevant information. Tanjiro's group being able to explain what demons essentially were better, while the duo was able to explain the purpose of Demon Slayers better. A thing they all seemed to have in common on that table though, despite all their differences, was a weird hate they had for the mythic demonic creatures. It was like a gut feeling telling them that they actually aren't very cool.
"Jeez, if they were real, I'd go out there killing them by myself!" Inosuke said loudly, banging his fists on the table they were sat at in anger. That attracted a lot of unwanted attention to their group. "Me too, but please calm down Inosuke..." Tanjiro tried to soothe the poor-mannered boy, sweatdropping. Thankfully, the boar of a man seemed to calm down. "They do sound pretty awful though. If they really were real, I'm glad that they are gone now." Muichiro commented, everyone on the table nodding in agreement. "It's weird for a legend to have been going on for such a long time, isn't it? From before Heian era all the way to Taisho era, you know? It wouldn't make sense for something like that to be so commonly discussed among people until so recently.." Y/N also commented, seemingly making the others also think about it that way. "Like, if they weren't real, why did it go on for so long..? I know this is just an assignment, but I kind of want to know more about it. Outside of it just being homework." He said once again, giving everyone a determined look that was returned by the others on the table. They kept discussing about it until they decided they were content with what they had said and went to leave. They waved their goodbyes and the group split up.
"I saw this article about some sort of family having an odd connection to the demon slayer rumours, but I ignored it since if wasn't part of our topic to research." Y/N pointed out as he and Muichiro were walking back to where they came from. "Oh really?" The ravenette shifted his attention from the sky to his friend, interested in the conversation. "Yeah. They were called the Ubiyashiki? Ubuyashiki? Clan, or something. The mansion they owned is still there and used both to accommodate the ancestors of the clan and as a museum." The (h/c)ette said, possibly suggesting something. "That's quite interesting. I'd like to go there." The taller remarked, turning his attention back to the sky. "Yeah. I was going to ask you it you wanted to go together?" Y/N tilted his head with a smile after he asked his question. Muichiro simply hummed and nodded in agreement, filling the latter with excitement and anticipation.
When they got back, they spent the rest of their day finishing the movie they fell asleep in the middle of the previous night and decided to watch some YouTube videos together. Turns out, Muichiro's search history wasn't as embarrassing as Y/N had assumed for it to be. He was kind of relieved about the whereabouts of the person he was into. They ended up watching (video kind of choice), finding out they were interested in the same things. It was so hard for the two not to fall in love with eachother; they really were a match made in heaven.
They eventually got tired and cuddled in bed like yesterday. It felt odd being able to do that so casually now, when they aren't even dating or have confessed to eachother, but neither minded. They were drowsy and they were enjoying eachother's warmth. After all, if they really needed to find an excuse for it, they could just say that friends can cuddle too- which is true, but their cuddle was a little more,, intimate, to put it simply. It was a little something for the two to cherish.
