I awoke to sunlight shining on my face. My muscles felt cramped from sleeping in a ball all night, my face felt sore from the crying, and my mentality felt drained. I was done trying to hide everything, to push myself to get over it and act like I wasn't hurting. I was done being the pushover, I'm going to act the way I want and fuck anyone who says other wise.

I slowly uncurled myself and stretched. I walked over to my balcony and opened the doors. The view was amazing. The forest went on for as far as I could see. As I went to go back inside, something by the lake caught my eye. I wasn't sure, but it looked like dog, a big black dog.

That's strange, if I could see it from this far away, up close it must be huge. I was pulled out of my thoughts when there was a knock at my door.

"Who is it?" I called out to the person on the other side of the door.

"Er, it's your dad, you mind if I come in?"

Quickly I shut the balcony doors and put my messy hair up as I called out a "sure" to him. I had just sat down on my bed when he walked in.

"I'm so sorry about dinner last night Evalyn, things came up, I hope you can forgive us on our less than honorable hospitality." He cast a soft smile as he spoke, almost like he had given this conversation before.

"It's fine, no harm done." Was my brilliant reply.

"Yes, harm was done, it made you think badly about this family. How on your first night here with us, we all left you alone and to clean up dinner as well. It's inexcusable. So to make up a little, I'm going to have Francis take you shopping since you're going to be needing things for school next week and it's the middle of a Thursday, not many kids will be around to see you shopping with an old man."

He chuckled at his own joke, I waited for him to go on.

"Ah ha ha, ah hmm, well then, after you all get back, you and I could have a late lunch together, then when the boys get back from school I'll have Lucus and Mark show you around town. Here's a credit card for you, no limit, have fun with it. Do you have your license yet?"

Wow, guy doesn't even know me and he gives me a credit card, this could be fun.

"Yea, I've had my license since I was 16"

"Splendid, name your car." He beamed. I'm confused, what's going on?

"I'm confused, why do you want me to name a car?"

"That will be the car I get for you a 'Welcome Home' present" he smiled again.

What's with these people and smiling? And a welcome home present? I'm not home, this will never be home, just a house I have to stay in for the next four months, then I'm gone to my grandmother's old house that she left to me in her will.

"Er, a mini cooper?" I quickly thought of a random car. He just simply smiled and nodded his head. "As you wish"

As he went to turn to leave he spotted the picture album, still open to the page with me in my mothers lap at the beach. A soft smile, a real one, came across his face.

"She was my first love, I remember our wedding day like it was yesterday," He then looked back at me "you look so much like her." His voice was soft, reminiscing of the past. He then cleared his throat, "I'll be leaving you to get ready, have a pleasant day."

Well wasn't that fun? I got up and went to my closet. The thing was giant. The whole back wall was a mirror, about 5 feet from the mirror on the left side was a large cabinet, the doors opened to reveal jewelry of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I quickly closed the doors, not a big fan of jewelry. I only wear a simple plain silver necklace with my mother's wedding rings on it.

I went to my clothes and picked out my outfit for today, black skinny jeans with a blue Paramore shirt and a dark blue bra and panty set finished of with my black Vans. Not wanting to keep Fernando for long I checked my phone to see what time it was, 8:47 am, and went and took a quick shower. Thirty minutes later I was showered, dressed, hair dried and straightened, and on my way to the dining room.

I could hear voices from inside, but no one but Flynn should be home... I really need to learn that guys name. I stopped and listened.

"Dude, we should have just stayed at your house today, Evalyn's here, normally skipping at my house would be fine but I she tells my mom I'm screwed." The first voice complained, how did they know my name?

"What about Francis? Won't he tell mommy on you?" The second voice chuckled deeply sending shivers down my spine. A soft gasp escaped my lips at the feel. Both voices went quiet, guess this is as good a time as ever to make myself noticed, now I knew who was in the house.

"I know you don't know me, but give me some credit to not be a snitch." I said as I pushed the swinging door out of the way, walking into the dining room where the boys were. Their shocked faces we priceless, if I was feeling more myself I would have laughed at them.

"Anyone speak around here?" I questioned, trying to get something out of them. I tried not to look at Mark and his beautiful green eyes, but they kept drawing me in. Finally I sighed and turned to go fine Ferris to take me shopping, woo so much fun. I should stop being sarcastic. I was brought out of my thought by Lucus speaking.

"What?" I questioned turning back to face them.

"I asked what you're doing." Lucus looked at me like he was trying to find something out.

"I'm going to go find Farrell, why?" At this, both boys looked at me funny.

"Who are you looking for?" Lucus asked looking at me like I was crazy, after all I've been through, maybe I was.

Sighing I threw my hands up.

"I don't know his name, it starts with an F is all I know, he's suppose to be taking me shopping for crap for school. You know who I'm talking about right?" Let someone know this man's name.

"Do you mean Francis?" Ah, that voice, I had to hold myself back from shivering again.

"Yea that's the guy, Fr-dad said he was going to take me shopping then you two are to show me around the town." I spoke my eyes never leaving his, even as his flicked down to my lips. I subconsciously licked my lips and his eyes darkened, sending a spark through me.

"Well since we're already here why don't we take you to the mall so you don't have to be seen walking around with Francis and then show you around and you don't tell my mom deal?" Lucus ramble broke our staring, causing me to look down blushing.

"Er, that sounds fine" was all I could get out.

"Only one problem genius," Mark spoke to Lucus "How are we going to get there? On your bike?"
