I turned around, grabbed my carry on from inside the limo and started up the stairs into the house. I walked into the house following Farris or whoever, I should really learn his name if I'm going to be staying here. I let out a sigh; I didn't want to be here.

"Is something wrong Miss McAdams?" Speak of the devil...

"No, I'm okay, thanks for asking Farris. Do you think you can show me my room, Lidia seems have disappeared."

"Miss McAdams, my name is not Farris, it is Francis, please, call me by it. And I would happily show you your room" He spoke tight lipped. Oh, I made Fabio mad. I giggled but followed him. Up two flights of stairs, down the hall to the right, third door on the left.

"This will be your room from now on; dinner is at 7:30 sharp. Just go back down to the main floor and take a left. Through the double doors is the dining room. Your presents is required unless you are sick or not at home." With that he spun on his heels and walked away.

"Bye Finn, nice to meet you" I called out after him, laughing when I could hear him sigh and heavy footsteps walking away from my door.

I looked around my room and gasped. My walls were a soft golden yellow trimmed in white. On one side of my room, the side my bed was up against, was covered in windows, giving me a beautiful view of the forest it was over looking. From the far right window you could see the beginning of a small pond poking out of the dense forest. An opening was tucked up against the left wall, a small room with a set of glass doors. I got my own balcony. Next thing was my bed, large and soft with gold and red sheets, it made me wonder if it was done on purpose or if it was all accidental. Gold was my favorite color. Next to my bed were two nightstands with a lamp on each. Across from that was a bookcase, full of all kinds of stories. What I didn't notice till last was the two doors on the only wall left. The first turned out to be a closet. My father was right when he said my two bags wouldn't fill it. I doubt anything short of buying out the whole mall would fill it. Not wanting to think about shopping I quickly walked to the next room. It turned out to be a bathroom, not that I was surprised. The bathroom had a shower big enough to hold five people without them touching, a toilet, a sink, a cabinet filled with towels and other bathroom toiletries, a table of some sort filled with makeup, and, this was my favorite part, ready? A Jacuzzi tub, it looked amazing.

Once I unpacked it was around 7, I decided now was as good as ever to make myself present to everyone and see when dinner would be. As I walked down the stairs I heard voices yelling at what sounded like a TV. As they came into view I got a good look at them. The one yelling at the screen jumped up as someone made a touchdown, he was tall with dark blonde hair cut short, maybe an inch off his head and brown eyes. He wore a goofy grin as he laughed at the other guy sitting there swearing. The other boy who also looked around our age had brown hair that reached to the bottom of his ears, I couldn't see his face. Just as I reached the threshold of the room Lidia came through the other door way hitting to boy with her rag for swearing in her house. At the boys' puppy face I chuckled, gaining three pairs of eyes on me, great. I cast my head down, not making eye contact.

"Err, I'm Evalyn, I'm Frank's daughter." I spoke once it was clear no one else was going to say anything, peaking through my bangs.

The boy with the shorter hair looked shocked and looked at Lidia for confirmation. She nodded once, never taking her eyes off of me. Been here 3 hours and I've already made enemies, just my luck.

The short haired boy spoke up then, "I didn't know Frank had a daughter, he doesn't speak about her." The long haired boy then elbowed him in the stomach.

"Sorry for this rude ass-"

"Hey I'm not rude!"

"-he gets on everyone's nerves, I'm Mark by the way, idiot over there is Lucus."

"Hello, it's nice to finally meet you."

"So since you're Frank's daughter, are you going to be joining..," Lucus was asking before his mother jumped in.

"Okay kids, dinners done come eat" Lidia stated, more like demanded; she's really starting to bug me.

"We'll be there in a second mom, I'm just asking Evelyn if she's going to be joining our..."

"Lucus, set the table now or you're bikes gone for a week." Once again the lovely woman interrupted.

"Okay then..?" Mark responded

"Don't worry, I'll help you" I smiled at him, I could see up becoming friends. He smiled back and opened his mouth to respond when Lidia cut him off.

"Evelyn honey, why don't you go and wash up we are having some guests over, Mark could you please go get Frank and your father, they should be out back."

"Yes Mrs.McAdams" Mark hopped up and started to the back door as Lucus started walking to where his mother was with the dinner dishes. As he grabbed the plates from her she said something to him, causing him to stop in his tracks for a second then hurry along like nothing happened. They spoke to faint to hear.

After watching their exchange I went upstairs, washed up and put on a black dress, nothing too fancy, but nicer than blue jeans and a t-shirt.

This is it, my new life is about to officially begin as Frank McAdam's daughter, not the girl always getting A's or freakishly good at soccer, just Evelyn McAdams, this should get interesting.
