Going to the mall with Mark and Lucus was a horrible idea. We couldn't walk ten feet without someone giving them weird looks. Most people just had looks of awe and adoration, but I swear, one couple bowed to them.
After the boys fought for a bit at the house about how the day would go on, they decided that we would borrow Lidia's car, go out to breakfast, then the mall, and be back in time for Frank to pick me up for lunch. Breakfast wasn't too bad, if you overlook the fact that both boys ate three helpings of food. The mall on the other hand, I could have done without.
"So Evalyn, where do you want to start?" Mark asked, he's been trying to start a conversation with me all day, but I can't look at him without blushing.
Get ahold of yourself! You're almost 18, you don't blush over boys like a little girl
"Er, any place is fine, I'm not too picky. But at some point today I want to stop at Hot Topic and get a few band shirts. Maybe after go to Wett Seal or Cotton On, if that's okay with you guys?"
"Oh yeah, that's fine. What type of bands are you into? Me, myself I'm into anything,... besides country, well there's some type of rap too, and that screaming music. Can you even call that music?" Lucus jumped in, rambling about his favorite music.
I was laughing at the annoyed look Mark was sending Lucus when a large group of girls walked up to our little trio.
*So much for 'No one would be out today'*
As the group got closer Mark positioned his body in front of mine. Did he not want the girls to see me? Was he embarrassed to be seen with me?
When the group got close enough, one girl jumped at Lucus. At first I thought she was going to attack him, but the giggles from her and the loud laugh from Lucus stopped me from calling over the mall cop.
The with the boys engrossed in the girl named 'Aleisha' and the rest of the girls, I decided that now would be a perfect time to go do some shopping alone.
Walking through the mall, noticing all the groups of friends, I realized I never called back Kale and Mandy. Quickly sending them a text message letting them know I was fine and I would call them when I got home, I set off to find a good store.
Now don't get me wrong, I love my phone as much as the next teenager, but sometimes they just make us stupid. As I was replying to Mandy, I ran straight into what felt like a wall.
The five seconds following me bouncing off the 'wall' and landing on my rump, all I could hear was,
"OH MY GOD!"
"Er,... are you okay... you ran into me pretty hard."
"Evalyn? What are you doing on the ground?
Laughing at my luck, I stood to dust myself off, only to be tackled. Looking around bewildered, I tried to find out who the culprit was.
"Allie?" I questioned the small girl holding me like I was going to fly away.
"Yay! You remember me!" She giggled.
Laughing, I asked her what brought her out to the mall on this lovely day. It was a school day after all.
"Oh don't be such a worry wort. Our school has the day off today thanks to it being the founder, James Markson's birthday. Go Tigers!" She laughed.
As she was giving her mini rant, I realized we weren't alone. 'OMG' and 'Wall' were standing behind Allie looking bored.
"Er, Allie? You mind introducing us? I would like to apologize for running into him but I would rather call him by his name than 'Wall'."
The 'Wall' chuckled as he walked forward. "Hey, nice to meet you, I'm Andrew. And don't worry about running into me, I'm fine, plus we have another one in the group that likes to not pay attention to where she's walking when she's texting."
At Andrews comment, 'OMG' sent him a glare. "Hey, don't make me out to be a bad guy Andrew. You're the one that is always walking around with a book in your face not paying attention. I'm not the only one. Oh, and I'm Tabitha by the way." After her quip at Andrew she quickly stuck her tongue out at him before sending me a flash of a smile.
"Hey Andrew, hello Tabitha, I'm Evalyn. Its nice to meet you both." After they introduced themselves, I really looked at them. Andrew was tall with a lean frame, but you could tell he could hold his own if he needed too. He had light brown hair that was just long enough you could run your fingers through it with bright blue eyes that looked as if he had trapped a cloudless sky in them. Tabitha was tall and lean as well, she however had an almost auburn hair color with mocha colored eyes and pouty lips.
"Well, now that the pleasantries are over, let's go get COOKIES!" What was with Allie and her cookies? The world may never know.

After a speedy trip to the food court to get cookies for Allie, we made our way to the main part of the mall to do a bit of shopping. We had already hit six or so shops when I felt someone staring at me. Casting a quick look around the shop I couldn't find anyone looking in my direction, let alone staring at me. Figuring I was just freaking myself out I let it go and bought my few shirts I had picked out from this store.
"Where the hell have you been?! Do you know what time it is? Franks going to be home within the next half hour." I turned to see a very pissed off Lucus and Mark. Oops, I guess I forgot about them. "It is almost a half hour drive to the house, there's no way we're going to make it."
"Calm down Lucus, I got everything I needed for school and then some. We can leave now."
"Calm down? Calm down? Did she just tell me to calm down?! Do you know how long we've been looking for you? and all you have to say is CALM DOWN?!"
"Er, um,.... I got you a cookie?" I quickly held up the cookie I bought for later, now seemed like a much better use for it.
The cookie was quickly snatched out of my hands by a happy looking Lucus. "Aww, you got me a cookie? All is forgiven. Lets just go now." The boy literally skipped away with the cookie. Mark on the other hand still looked pissed as he turned on his heels and followed Lucus out to the car.
Gee, I must really have a gift of pissing people off. I quickly said bye to my new group of friends and followed the boys to the car.
This should be fun.
