You sobbed in his arms. He was holding you tightly, as if he was gonna die if he didn't hold you close like that.
“Please let me go..”
He said as you cried harder and shoved your face against his neck. You just had him, you can't lose him again, please. Please not again.
“I don't exist okay?! I'm just your imagination! I'm sorry. As much as it hurts to see you cry like this, there's nothing I can do. I'm sorry. I love you, take care.”
And with that, you looked at your tear stained pillow. He was never here. All the words you wished he said to you, you made it up yourself. All the times you've hugged yourself and pretended that it was him, it was you yourself. No one had hugged you in years. All the time you've been talking to him, you were just talking to air. He's never here. There's no one around you. He's just a game character.
He doesn't exist.
