5 months later~

minho and jisung walked happily to the nearest cafe, joking and playing around on the sidewalk. they felt lazy to make breakfast so jisung suggested that they go to "jinius" cafe, because they definitely didn't want to starve.

they were so happy, after almost an year of being apart, they were more than thrilled to be back in each others arms. everything was better, they were done with felix's murder case and jisung was proved innocent. minho was glad he was rich and could afford better lawyers than felix's brother.

everything was falling back to place, he had almost healed from the accident and trauma, jisung was also getting therapy for PTSD. they were finally home.

"okay, i have another one. how did the bullet loose it's job?"

"how?"

"it got fired."  jisung almost fell to the ground, wheezing. passer by's looked at them weirdly but minho could only focus on the shorter with adoration and love.

they reached the cafe and entered, the scent of hyacinth hitting them. the place was quiet minimalist fashioned, very simple yet aesthetic. the common colors that highlighted the beauty of the area was auburn, beige and gray. it was very pleasing to look at.

"i really like this." jisung complimented, looking in awe.

"yeah, it's so pretty."

they sat down on an empty table a few feet far away from the counter and started discussing what to take.

....

hyunjin watched him enter the place with another boy and he was bewildered. he hoped that minho would recognize him but when he he saw the two look around in adoration and not spare him a glance; he was greatly disappointed.

"fucking great." he cursed to himself.

"arson? go take the order of table 15, please."

"yes, sir."

the last thing hyunjin wanted was to interact with them. he knew without doubt that the boy who looked similar to a squirrel was jisung because that's exactly how minho described him as. sunshine, beautiful, precious and bubbly.

it was very obvious from afar that he was a ball of sunshine; his laugh, his smile could brighten up someone's life. hyunjin watched arson startle them and face palmed but chuckled lowly when he saw jisung yelp in tiny.

his chest was starting to tighten up, and he felt the need to cry. just when he thought he was over the whole incident, minho had to appear and ruin it.

he thought about the times he and minho spent. the times he held him in his arms and let him cry, because he was just a figure of comfort. ephemeral comfort.

even after him being heartbroken, even after he fell in love with someone who doesn't remember him anymore, he was thankful to minho. in that 4 months of them being friends, he had felt more happiness than combined in his whole life.

he would never wish to erase minho, even if the memories haunted him forever.

even if he was transient.
