[ALEEYA]
I drove out of Ash's house eight minutes ago. My heart is pounding so fast, I stop the car immediately.
"No, no, no." Thinking out loud I quickly take my phone out of my purse and dial diggs. He's not answering. "Damnit!"
Without wasting any second, I turn the car around and speed back to the house.
Stepping out and running through the gate, all I see is smoke.
"SHIT!" I run inside and it's covered in mild flames. I can't turn back now, and I need to save Ash.
I can barely see and my chest is closing in as I stumble upstairs to find Ash. I get to the bedroom and flinch upon twisting the hot doorknob.
I kick the door open and run inside. There are no flames inside, just smoke. He's still asleep, I hope.
"Zodiac! Ash!" Calling out to him is useless, so is trying to shake him awake.
I run to his bathroom and bring out the little much water I can. Pouring it on his face, he jumps up coughing.
"Oh thank you Almighty" There's little excitement in me seeing him awake, but also worry as he coughs uncontrollably.
"A... Alee?" Confusion fills his face as he looks around trying to figure out what's happening.
"Stay here, I'll be right back." I grab his blanket and run to his bathroom.
I place it down on the shower and turn it on. Soon after, I pick it up and run back to him.
"You have to work with me here okay."
"Wha... what's going Alee?" He asks, still not fully conscious."Just... come on. We have to cover ourselves with this wet blanket to make it out of the house. You'll balance on me, come on."
I help him out of the bed as he balances on me. Wrapping the blanket around both of us, I pray we make it out of here... alive.
"Ready? Let's go." We walk through the open door and the flames have increased to most parts of the house.
"Fi... fire?" He questions while coughing.
"Let's go." We stumble downstairs with most of his weight balanced on me.I hold on to the heating steel railing of the stairs. I can't focus on the burning sensation right now, I need to get Ash out of here.
"Ash No!" Somehow I lose his balance and he slips to the floor.
"Ahhh fuck!"
Judging from his screams, the floor is heated up.I quickly help him up and cover him with the blanket.
"Can you stand on your own for a few seconds? I need to make way for us."I know he can't really balance on his own, but I need to clear the flames so we can get out.
I give him a soft smile as I grab the closest thing I can find. The small couch blanket, half burnt.
I sway the blanket, trying to put out the fire all the way to the door, it's hard but not impossible.
I'd run to kitchen for some water but the smoke is too thick, I can barely see.
I throw away the blanket then run back to grab Ash, wrapping my arms around him.
"Almost... almost there okay, just hang on." Even I've started coughing, must've inhaled some smoke.
