5-The Friend

It's been two weeks since I saved Kamien and he's been staying with us, every day we would go outside the cave to see if we saw his friend or his companion with no luck each time. I'm starting to think that they gave up looking for him but then I think about the bond they created the friendship they have and realize that maybe they are searching somewhere else and haven't made it to this area yet.

I could tell that Kamien was starting to lose hope of finding them every day as he would start to close in on himself but every time that happened Ravo would come out of nowhere and cheer him up again, Ravo is the only one that can do that besides the babies of the family if any one of us tries to cheer him up it only lasts for that moment if it works.

I'm starting to think that Kamien's mate is Ravo but since they aren't at mating age they don't know that, the only reason I believe they are is that they have gotten super close after I introduced him to everybody two weeks prior. While I was out helping Ravo get supplies for some of the cave improvements that Kían was working on a blue bunny hopped out of nowhere scaring the shit out of me before a grey-skinned kid popped out of nowhere saying

"I understand that you smelt him from this direction, but can you not just disappear like that goodness"

Before he looked up finally noticing us standing their mid-process of stuffing sticks into our scavenging bags, after staring at each other for a couple of minutes the grey-skinned kid finally spoke and said

"Hi, I'm Braz and this is Blitz we are looking for my friend his name is..."

"Kamien"

"Yea how'd you know have you seen him?"

"Yea follow me"

After we packed the rest of the sticks we headed back to the cave with two additional mouths to feed for lunch today, when we reach the entrance to our home we started to head inside while the other two stopped and stared for a bit till I told them to hurry up and they finally walked inside.

Once we dropped off all the sticks to Kían I saw Arrow zoom past me with an excited Kamien behind him telling him to hurry and hide before Etika found them till he sniffed the air and froze allowing Etika to tag him and go hide somewhere in the cave. When he finally came to his senses he grew an even bigger smile and ran to hug his friend and companion who was a ball of jitteriness at finally being reunited.

After a while of catching up with each other and exchanging loads of information, Kamien called for all the others to come in and he introduced all of us to his friend Braz and his companion who then flew around sniffing at us till he had our scents engraved in his mind and went back to Kamien's side before going to sleep.

Once all that was done I sent Braz to rest while everyone got started on their normal daily chores and I started to prepare lunch since we are gonna be extremely hungry when we're all done, when lunch was ready I called everyone to the eating mat including the newcomers then passed out everyone's plate till everyone had one and started to eat.

After lunch was over, we cleaned up and played some board games and other games to strengthen our bonds with each other since to us family is everything, then we just sat down together and talked about what we want to do with our lives in the future. A couple of hours later I had the kids working on their school work so they don't fall behind and will be up to date or more advanced than others their age.

Once all work was done I let them go play while talking to the older kids about mates and further schooling even leaving us If they wanted, after our talk, they went to go get the others so we can start the four-hour training session we always do before we eat dinner when training was over started dinner while everyone took their showers and got ready for bed.

After eating dinner I sent the younger kids to play while the others helped me clean up before going to stretch and play with the young ones for a while before it was time for bed, once all the younger kids were tuckered out from all the running around and playing they did I started to help move the bigger kids who were also Tuckered out from chasing the little rascals around to bed before going around and saying good night to everyone while also kissing them on the forehead.

Once all the kids were asleep us grown-ups started to have a serious discussion about if they were leaving or staying and when or how long for a couple of hours before we finished our talk and started to try and improve our cave while there wasn't any distractions or possible casualties from little one running amuck everywhere without a care in the world.

After a couple more hours of that, we finally decided to turn in for the night So I said good night to everyone and started to work on my next book while having the time and inspiration for it since I can only write when I have time or when I'm inspired because of something when I had written more than a couple of pages worth I saved my work and put everything away where it goes before making my way to the part of the cave where we sleep in like a huddled way to keep the heat during the night since it gets extra cold and some of the younger kids had already previously caught colds because of it.
