It's been two years now and the little rogue issue is now slowly becoming a huge problem, last year when the younger kids were playing tag a rogue had crossed into our territory without me noticing and had tried to attack them. It was a good thing that Ravo was there to fight him off or that would have ended tragically.
Then earlier this year they had come onto our property and were trying to kidnap Arrow. We are starting to not be safe here anymore and it is getting closer to being time to move to a new territory. Before when it was just little attacks here and there far between it was okay, but now it's slowly starting to become huge attacks like this constantly are not okay at all.
It's a good thing I created a magic-infused phone that I can use no matter what for situations out of my control. It's really useful when I need to get in contact with someone, which in this case it's Kían that I need to call to see if he can help since he's been a lone wolf pretty much all his life even longer than me.
After getting off the phone with him I went outside and put up a protective barrier to buy us sometime before we will have to officially move to a new place to call home. When Kían got here he and I sat down while the others were working in their workbooks to create a plan on what to do when everything goes to shit.
Once the plan was formed and he brought his stuff since I gave him a bag like ours all his stuff fit inside of the one bag, we started to get the food ready so that we can get some sleep tonight. After putting the last one to sleep Kían and I discussed the plan a little bit more before also retiring to bed so we don't be tired in the morning.
While I was falling asleep my mind kept racing about how there are too many little kids living with me and I don't want any of them to get hurt or worse because I decided to stay when there were facts clearly saying that it was no longer safe to do so. There are no worries for now because we will be leaving to find a new home, the storm is coming in way too fast to try and risk traveling in this weather with so many young kids.
When I woke up the next day nothing changed it was like every other day no attacks or anything, but I knew better than to lower my guard because that is when they will strike. Since I didn't want to worry my siblings so I just put those thoughts to the side for the time being.
It's been two weeks since I put the barrier up and Kían moved in with us which made me feel a little bit safer to try and stay here till the winter storm is over. honestly the fact that nothing has happened at all, not even a rogue sighting during these past two weeks has my nerves skyrocketing.
After putting the kids to sleep I suddenly felt an immense sense of danger as the barrier was being pounded on and Kían ran back inside yelling that twenty-five rogues were trying to get through the barrier.
After grabbing the map so that we can keep track of where the rogue hot spots are so we can warn others and keep ourselves safe. I woke everyone up and said
"It's a code red guys... We are no longer safe here, the rogues are attacking the barrier as we speak, so we have to pack everything fast because I don't know how long it's going to continue to hold against 25 rogues, ok"
"Ok" they replied at the same time as I continued to say
"ok Ivy, grab the red backpacks for the food, Duke navy blue for the clothes, Etika black for blankets and pillows, Ale dark gray for the wood, Rian purple for first aid items, Idria faded green for dishes, Ash light gray for tools, and Ravo moss army green for toiletries"
As they immediately started on their task once I called their names and quickly brought the packed bags over to me so I can put them into another bag so we can pack as much stuff before the barrier broke and we had to leave something behind. When it was packed up with all the other bags I used a spell I created to make all our furniture small enough to fit in a backpack (wagons included) and then packed it before putting that bag inside the backpack that has the other bags in it.
Once we were all packed and dressed for the freezing temperatures since the storm was mid-swing with no sign of stopping, I put Duke, Ivy, Arrow, and Akia onto Kían's dragon forms back and used a little bit of magic to make sure they wouldn't fall off and I put Zahra into a basket so Rian can carry him when we take off before making sure that all the passengers had warm blankets magically secured around them.
Then I shifted to my Griffin form and had Ravo, Ash, Idria, Ale, and Etika get on my back before doing the same to them as the others. Once we were ready and had everything that was ours and other things so they can be extra warm, I gave the signal and all of us took off to the sky just as the barrier broke and rogues flooded our old home.
Once we were high enough in the sky to feel a little safe from the rogues we flew as close to each other as we could without hitting the other as we followed Kían to where our temporary home will be on this new journey of ours.
