Appearance: Josh is a tall individual with short, curly, brown hair that wraps delicately around his head naturally. His eyes, tired but determined, are almost always telling a different story than his face would let on. His physique is slim, but toned to where he's not super muscular, but just enough to seem normal. Despite all of his features, he doesn't really stick out in a crowd- as though he's just another Survey Corps member.

Personality: Joshua is purely an ambivert, and one could tell right off the bat by how quickly his behavior patterns can shift. One moment, he could be engaged with a friend or two, and be happy, chatting it up. Like the life of the party. Other times, near strangers or practically anyone else, he's extremely reserved and silent- almost like a ghost. More common traits, no matter who you are, are his kindness- which he will extend to anyone, stranger or otherwise. His watchful eye can notice even the smallest of details, and read people somewhat easily (there's some he can't- such as Annie Leonhart, or Levi Ackerman). This doesn't mean he's the best at hiding his own emotions- but he's able to hide them relatively well. He's also very understanding, and hardly judgmental- willing to listen to anyone vent about their problems if they so much as ask. He can be very protective of his allies as well- being defensive and willing to lay down his own life for practically any of the members of the 104th Cadet Corps.

Petra Ral - Josh looked up to the Levi Squad- Their abilities were practically unrivaled when it came down to it. But prior to the 57th Expedition, Josh had the privilege to meet Petra and the others of the Squad. Of the few conversations the group had, he and Petra got along the most. The two had easily become friends afterward, even taking moments to check up on each other when they had free time. Unfortunately, these little get-togethers were halted during the 57th Expedition when Petra met her untimely demise to the Female Titan (Annie Leonhart).

Connie Springer - Josh sees Connie as a friend, and trusted companion. While not on the same wavelength as he and Jean, or Sasha, he still would trust Connie with his life if it came down to it. He knows his friend can be a little hard-headed and headstrong, but these traits are something he finds rather charming and likes to see Connie succeed in the things he enjoys.

Best Friends:
Jean Kirstein - Josh and Jean got along rather well during their time in the Cadet Corps. He is approachable, just like anyone else, and he admires his initiative during battle. Even when the chance to leave and go for an easy life was placed before him, Jean made the choice to join the Survey Corps, which only showed more of his true character. Josh sees Jean as his best friend, and brothers in arms.
