"Come on grandpa. Let's go!! You promised we'd go." I said pouting
"I know Val, hold on I'm almost ready"
"You better hurry or I'll leave with Granny"
"Haha just like your mother. So impatient, alright let's go" he says grabbing my hand.
"What am I gonna learn today grandpa?" excitement clear in my voice.
"Hmmm well I was thinking we could practice your triple loops"
"Yes, I can't wait"
When we arrived I was jumping and flapping my wings all over the place, like I usually do when I'm excited. Yeah I'm very energetic.
I love coming to Crystal Lake, it's such a beautiful place. With its baby blue sky, a clear view of our 5 gorgeous moons, and the clear crystals reflecting off of the clean sparkling waters.
*5 hours later
"Come on Val it's time to go home, you still have to get your stuff ready so you can go back home to your parents" grandpa says.
"Aww I don't want to go home I like it here better"
In all honesty I really rather stay with them than go home to my parents and my 3 siblings, which consist of 4 year old twins and a 5 year old all boys, sure I love them and all but I love my grandparents more.
Since I'm their only granddaughter they really love spoiling me. They treat me as their own daughter and they have been teaching me everything they know.
"Now come on don't be like that honey, we'll be over next week for your 8th birthday" says my granny.
"Okay granny but I still prefer to be with you guys" I say pouting.
"Come on baby girl let's get on home" says grandpa while giving me piggyback ride.
"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. I'm afraid that won't be happening gramps" a deep mysterious voice spoke from behind us.
He gave off a dangerous vibe and was wearing a dark cloak thing that mostly covered his entire body.
"And why would that be son?" My grandpa suddenly says with confidence and power in his voice. Clearly feeling my uneasiness.
The mysterious man suddenly smirks and slowly pulls something rigid and sharp from his cloak.
"Well you see gramps, we know what your granddaughter is and well, she'll be worth a fortune or better yet we could use her as our own secret weapon."
"I will let you do no such thing, she's only a little girl with a huge life ahead of her and you're not about to ruin it" grandpa says while his grip on me tightens so much I'm sure it'll leave a bruise.
"Come on gramps don't make this hard on us we really don't feel like killing anyone today. So just do as your told and hand her over okay and we'll be on our way" the man says while smirking again.
Through the mind link I can hear my grandpa say, 'Val I want you to quickly head to the safe house while I distract them, I'll notify your parents to come get you okay'
'No! grandpa I won't leave you with these strange men, they'll hurt you' I beg him through the link, with tears threatening to escape my eyes.
'No they won't I promise to meet you the when I get grandma okay?' He sounds confident but I can still hear the small doubt in his voice.
'Okay grandpa' I respond back with my tears betraying me and pouring down my face.
