I'd have put that voice into consideration had my eyes not landed on the table across the room.

There lay boxes and boxes of pizza that had been delivered earlier.

Don't bother wondering. Of course, this was the idea of yours truly! I mean what's a wedding without your soul mate? I was a true believer in the saying 'Food makes everything okay' and it dawned on me that pizza was exactly what I needed for my nervousness then.

I mentally high-fived whoever was in charge of my brain.

Anyway, I was perfectly aware that I couldn't stay glued to the ground forever, I mean, the confused stares were enough proof. But I had just dived into a real dilemma. It was Alex or Pizza and, trust me, the latter was seriously winning.

The aroma had flooded my imagination and was starting to get suffocating. I literally felt like a newbie vampire at the sense of human blood. And then my tummy rumbled and immediately the decision was made.

I turned and started to make my way across the room.

There was a slight momentary commotion before a loud voice spoke, "Oh hell no! Hazel Quinn don't you dare or I swear I'm dragging your sorry ass up here!"

Busted!

I turned to face the guy on stage and gave a sheepish smile.

Alex looked like he was going to shit his pants with worry and I could barely control my laughter!

This... this was what I knew I had signed up for. Nothing was weird when it came to us. This was everyday drama! Pizza was no longer needed; not when I was bubbling with confidence and laughter.

I walked elegantly down the aisle and watched Alex sigh with relief, the tiny beads of sweat on his forehead more visible as I got closer. He gave me a hand as I climbed the stage only to refuse to let go. Leaning closer he whispered, "Forget it, I'm never letting you go."
