That afternoon they left work early and gave Mrs. Clara the remainder of the day off. It was 4:30 pm when Val found himself at the exclusive jeweler in all of Seattle. Wes was busy creating a bouquet worthy of their Queen, while Damien made a quick visit back home. He laughed at the way Cerberus reacted to Alistair's scent on him. He spoke with his father briefly about what had transpired and wasn't shocked to know that he was well aware of everything including Harlow's upbringing and cloaking.
"You kept my mate away from me! Why?" Damien asked angrily. Satan looked at his son whose eyes flicked back and forth and sighed. "She isn't worthy of you or your mother's crown and throne." Damien stared at him crazily. "How can you say that? She's my mate. Fate literally destined her for me!" Damien yelled. "Well maybe Fate got it wrong! No son of mine will be tied to a fucking angel!" Damien rolled his eyes and scoffed. "You do realize, YOU are an angel right, Lucifer? You're aware that God is your father and my grandfather. You're also aware that her angelic side makes up ¼ of her, while she is ½ demon."
Lucifer stared at him unmoved. "I don't really care what you think, father. But if you want me to rule in hell beside you then you must trust she'll be by my side as well. Now tell me where Beelzebub is." Lucifer stared at his son with a mixture of pride and annoyance. He remembered all too well when he stood up to his own Father. It didn't go as planned, but he had made peace with that. "He's on an assignment, but he'll be back here this weekend."
Damien nodded making a move to leave when his father stopped him. "If you're going to go through with this, be ready to pick up the pieces or be the brunt of her anger or both. Harlow was raised as a human and will react accordingly. Beelzebub is the most notorious demon beside yourself. He too will act accordingly. I don't know what you hope to gain from this, but I hope it turns out the way you want it." Damien had seen earnest eyes on his father a handful of times and just like now it always surprised him. "Thanks father." He said with a nod before leaving. Cerberus whined loudly about not being taken up to the mortal world.
"You know why I don't take you three up there. You're quite literally little devils." They whimpered before promising to be good and behave like mortal dogs. Damien thought it was a bad idea, especially with Alistair in the house, but he felt Harlow might like Cerberus in their mortal form. He waved his hand over the nine foot, three-headed beast and watched as they split and shrank.
In their mortal form, Cerberus became three separate dogs who looked like large huskies. They retained their all-black coat, which wasn't common for normal huskies and got them a lot of attention when walked out in public. They looked more menacing as well, but there was nothing Damien could do about that. He didn't take away their ability to breathe fire, but they knew not to do that outside of home grounds.
"Come on," Damien said as he opened a portal that led straight into their living room. Alistair sat on the top of the couch. It was apparent he hadn't seen Cerberus until Damien moved out of the way. "Well, if it isn't the hellhounds." Alistair chuckled. "How've you been man?" Brutus asked. "I'm good. I can't complain. How are you doing? Gunner? Saber?" Alistair addressed the other two dogs. "We're good. We miss our master, but other than that we're good." Saber spoke for all of them. "It's been a while since you've been home. We miss watching you maim, destroy and torture like no other." Gunner said to Alistair causing Damien to wonder.
"Who are you Alistair?" The cat just winked before turning his head to the staircase. It was apparent that Harlow had just woken up, but she was still as beautiful as ever. Her wild curls looked wilder, but Damien still wanted to pull a ringlet and bask in the smell of coconut and lavender. Harlow made it to the last step before noticing the three husky wolf hybrids. "PUPPIES!" Harlow squealed before getting on the floor. Brutus, Gunner and Saber wasted no time laying on or around her as they gave her licks.
